Marvel raids Shounen Jump+?! The irresponsible hero Deadpool, an extreme outlier even among American comic heroes, is finally serialized! A super collaboration manga that involves both the Avengers and Shounen Jump characters!

Deadpool: Samurai review
I bring everyone great news! Tired of your typical anime/manga tropes? Wish you could read some Marvel comics, but in art style of our cultured ways? Congratulations, pick this up and you get a one way ticket to everyone's beloved Merc-With-A-Mouth.
Shonen Jump has done an official collaboration with Marvel, and brought Deadpool to Japan! In proper fashion if I may add, throw in knock-off Spiderman, special Marvel appearances, and you'll have yourselves a regular good old time. At no point does this disappoint, aside from being way too short. Story: 7/10 The story is strong/weak at the same time, it's nothing you need to take serious, but it has that western touch of great comedy, action, and snipping. You have the best of both worlds, manga-drawn "hero" Deadpool, with his American-style personality intact. It's not a ton of story yet but it seems to be building up into something fun and adventurous. Art: 9/10 The art is amazing, I felt like I'd never get to see a Super-Hero comic, drawn like an anime, but here we are. I've always wanted to read Deadpool like this. Character: 10/10 How can you not give this a 10, he's a joy to read, his antics, and 4th wall-breaking is astounding and perfect in every way. In no way did the MarvelxShonen take apart our beloved character and water him down. You want censor-jokes? Gross Humor? Gags-galore? Self-Awareness to the max? It's all still here in droves. Maybe... Too much? I'm going to read every issue that comes out, with a smile on my face. I hope you all enjoy it too |
