The story centers on Kakeru Doumeguri, a loner who is at the lowest caste of his school. A certain incident makes him reincarnate as the Dark Lord Helschaft, who exists inside the virtual reality game "Exodia Exodus," though he also has the ability to turn back into human form.

Ririko Asagiri, a girl who Kakeru has long had a crush on, is also trapped in the game, along with her classmates, who all swear a vow to defeat Helschaft and get back to their world. However, if Helschaft dies, everyone's lives will be in danger, so Kakeru/Helschaft meets them in battle. The other characters include Shuuko Aikawa, Kakeru's boss at his part-time job in the real world, and Helschaft's slave in the game; and Non Shizukuishi, a sharp-tongued cool girl who is interested in Helschaft.

I initially started reading this novel without many expectations aside from expecting it to be incredibly lewd, but color me surprised, it's actually one of the best novels of the genre I read in a pretty long time(personal opinion obviously).

The story is unexpectedly interesting and there's a decent number of mysteries that will make you curious. MC is surprisingly fun, he is kind of a coward/scaredy cat at the beginning but he develops as a character as the volumes go by, he is quite hard working too. The heroines and female characters in general are all quite decent, the secondary male ones are fun on their own as well(except one named Ougiya, that boy is annoying), so the secondary characters have some focus and time to shine once in a while.

Regarding the worldbuilding, it's not the best I've seen in a series but it's being pretty good for a light novel with only 8 volumes and it's definitely better than the ones of many long isekai series nowadays.

For those that want to know how is the romance, it's done decently. The girls don't fall for the MC right away and some of the female cast actually don't even show interest on him at all. While this novel is categorized as a harem, it's more like a love triangle disguised as harem since there's serious romantic progression between the MC and only 2 other heroines, the other members of the "harem" are all A.I. characters so that's the reason why I personally don't consider this a harem in the true meaning of the word.

Before I forget, I better warn that this novel does have detailed erotic scenes(well, MC's main abilities are lewd ones so no surprise), and while they're not incredibly long like the ones in the author's previous work or as...hardcore, they're still graphic and lewd enough, so if that bothers you to no end, then I don't recommend reading this series, now if you enjoy ecchi or is just indifferent to it then I do recommend to give it a chance and check it out since there's decent chances that you may at least have fun with this series. Keep in mind that volume 1 is the lewdest one, from volume 2 onwards, while there's still lewd scenes, there's a lot more focus on the characters, worldbuilding and plot.

Since no one has made a review for this yet, I figured I'd be the first.
The simplest way to describe this is: if Overlord and HxH fuzed together.
For those who don't know, this light novel is written by the same author as Masou Gakuen HxH. As you can expect, just like the author's previous work, this is some ecchi goodness.
As the time I'm writhing this, only one of the volumes is fully translated, so things can still change a lot, but I'll give my review based on that first volume.
The MC is Doumeguri, an anti-social guy who you'll most likely grow found of as you read. He and his class (and aparently his work collegue, who becomes his slave, spoilers, the sex type) have been send to a MMORPG game world after something went wrong with some VR tec and you get the idea.
The reason why I compared this to Overlord is because Doumeguri, unlike his classmates, is not a normal player. He is, in fact, Hellshaft, the final boss.
Most of his classmates beleive that they can go back to their normal lifes if they kill Hellshaft and go through the Gates of Hell in Infermia's Castle. But, Doumeguri's work collegue tells him that, if they do that, their consciousness will not be able to go back and they will die (and there's also something about Doumeguri and his work collegue not being able to respawn after dying). And so, Doumeguri must work as Hellshaft and defeat his classmates until they are all rescued.
Those who know HxH must imagine what type of story this is, and it is just what you think. Volume 1 alone has four (three, depending on how you count them) scenes of the type, all of which are forced on the female part. But, just like it was with HxH, the girls will probably be doing that out of free will soon enough.
I do recomend you check this out, expecially if you've read and liked Masou Gakuen. It gives an Overlord-like feel and it's still on a early enough stage that you can catch up without having to read through a mountain of volumes. And if you're not expecially found of the ecchi genre, I also recomend you try this, or Masou Gakuen, out. You might just find a new interest in that.
