Chiyuki Matsuoka's given name literally means "thousand snow," and it embodies her parents' wish for her to witness the first snowfall of the year perennially. This wish is exceedingly optimistic due to Chiyuki's heart condition, which increases the risk of seizures and decreases her life expectancy. The doctor who presided over her birth said she would be lucky to live 15 years.
Chiyuki is 17 years old when she meets the unlikely vampire Touya Kanou. He claims to hate blood, and he refuses to find a human partner with whom to share the rest of his life. Touya is 18 now, but if he took blood continually from a partner, then they both might live to be a thousand years old.
Chiyuki immediately volunteers to be Touya's partner, but he shoves her away in disgust, inadvertently learning of her poor health when she starts to spasm. Touya treats Chiyuki more kindly after that, but still refuses to drink her blood. She begins to suspect that there is a different reason why he keeps turning her down, but will she live long enough to discover the truth?

Sennen no Yuki review
This story is a true testimony to how something so repetitive could be so endearing! You see stories like this one a lot, but I personally think it has a lovely flair to it. I love how the main male character puts quite a lot of thought in to how he interacts with the main female character. I find it was sweet and shippy manga. If your a girl and like fluff, you'll love this story! The only draw back it that it's been on a hiatus for quite awhile, but it's said to start back up sometime in 2013.

The story had a very interesting plot and seemed to be a bit like a halloween type of manga, but still had light-hearted romance.
A great manga to read, but you may feel a bit empty with the ending since it doesn't really have an ending since Hatori chose to put all her focus into her other manga "Ouran Highschool Host Club". I have to say that is the only downide of this manga, other than that, this manga is a great work ad I'm sure shoujou fans will find it adorable. |

At first glance, the plot did not seem so interesting to me because of the typical supernatural romance between a vampire and a human. The first chapter seemed like that, but everything after that was very interesting. There is one underlying point driving the plot, the romance between the main characters, but even the side stories and complications did not hinder it. They were skillfully sewed into the story and I enjoyed them all. I did feel that the very last conflict could have been explained a little better, but the manga did end on a good note for me.
The characters are wonderful. They are all distinguishable and different and likable despite their flaws. There are not too many of them and they are memorable and have their own histories. Hatori does a good job of exploring her own characters and making them real. The artwork got better over the course of the manga, but at the beginning I didn't feel as if it were any different from other manga. It is a plain kind of good, if that makes sense. This is a cute shoujo manga with a few dark elements relating to people's histories and such, and of course the supernatural stuff dug into that. I still liked reading it, though, and do recommend it to anyone who's curious. |

Although technically this manga series is not finished since Hatori Bisco is focusing on completing Ouran Kokou Host Club, the chapters that she managed to write for Millennium Snow are turning out to be very interesting and romantic.
I like how the characters each have symbolism in their names and it has a very Halloween type of effect seeing as one is a vampire and the other is a werewolf. If you are looking for something that is very light-hearted and carefree, then you will enjoy the first 9 chapters of this series. The story begins with how they all meet is very somber in the beginning [especially each of the main character's back-stories] but it makes you realize how important it is for the three characters to be together and makes you feel happy. Afterwards, whenever they encounter an obstacle, you feel worried especially when it involves that something bad might happen to the main girl, Chiyuki. Also, the things that they do for her is what makes it turn out romantic but you have to read to see why. There aren't any bad aspects so far since the series is not fully developed and is on a hiatus but if you want to read Hatori Bisco's first work in manga, then feel free to read. I think it's pretty good =] |

Since I can only find reviews from almost 10 years ago, I will provide a fresher set of eyes on this manga series since it's finished. I'm no manga critic but I can say that this is probably one of the better short mangas that I have read in a while.
Hatori really did an excellent job executing the plot, and her character development was great considering she only had about 17 chapters to do it. Short stories don't have to be complicated or unique to be good. While the premise and the actual characters are very basic, Hatori is able to make it an enjoyable read. I noticed while I was reading that Hatori understood that it was a bit of a cliche and acknowledged that through direction of the character development, making them act in less serious ways than one would normally think (for instance, the fact that Touya is an ANEMIC vampire and how Chiyuki always teases Touya instead of being hopelessly distraught by her feelings). This story isn't a "true work of manga genius" in the way that many may think. It displays Hatori's skill in character development (for sure) and her ability to incorporate a more realistic touch in a story based in fantasy, making the reader think "yeah, this seems possible". (She only adds a little fluff in the end) As an Ouran High School fan, I really appreciated reading something else of hers and would really recommend it to others who enjoyed the Ouran manga and even the anime. I love her drawing style <3 P.S. ~ Whoever reads all of this is really super mega cool 'cause 1) You like old manga (or are at least considering reading this) 2) You read all that I wrote, which is pretty ridiculous for an 18 chapter manga... |

I really love this manga!C:
The beginning caught my attentions, totally digging the vampires, and the characters are just so lovable. Before I picked Millennium Snow up, I was reading Ouran High Host Club at the same time. So whenever I looked at Touya I would think Kyoya... It's all good though since Kyoya was always my bias!C; Always, Bisco Hatori impresses with her beautiful artwork. There's a crappy side though, the series isn't finished yet because Bisco decided on putting all her focus on OHSHC. Therefore leaving this manga with only two volumes... You'll definitely get caught up in the story line though it's just sad that there isn't anymore (yet)! |

If you are a vampire fan, werewolf fan, or just a lover of a good story, that this is the manga for you! This is one of Bisco Hatori's, the creator of Ouran High School Host Club, first published works.
Story: LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT! Great characters and a great plot with the twists and turns that makes you want to know what will happen next. Beautifully constructed and well placed foreshadowing. Unfortunately, Hatori had to drop this project to continue doing Ouran High School Host Club. This means that all that foreshadowing that was placed in the story perfectly is never used. You can tell at the end of the 2nd and last volume that it was a dropped project. It ends on the "now that that's over, what will happen next?" note. (does that make sense?) I wish I knew how to contact Hatori so that I could ask if she plans to pick it up again when she's finished with Ouran. Art: If you read the Ouran manga, you can tell that this manga was developed during her beginning stages as a mangaka. Therefore, her art is a bit lacking compared to Ouran, but is still VERY enjoyable to look at. Character: *fan-girl squee* I love them all! Chiyuki, Toya, Satsuki, and Yami-Maru are all amazing characters! Well-rounded and deep characterization; so much so do you feel that you really know these characters. Sadly, due to the abrupt ending, you don't get as much back story (mostly on Yami-Maru and Toya) as anyone would want. Enjoyment: If that point isn't clear by now in this review, you aren't paying attention. X3 Overall: Wonderful! Amazing! Beautiful! WHY DID IT STOP?!! I really do enjoy this manga from the bottom of my heart! I hope that you at least give it a try! |
Sennen no Yuki review
There was nothing special about this manga. It has a typical storyline, typical healing female character, a male character that is hard on the outside but nice on the inside and the other male with whom forms a love triangle, but really, the triangle doesn't exist (as the girl like the former male character and they share a bond that's not like the bond between her and the latter male character).
Anyway... Story+Character: Since the story isn't finished, it's hard to judge it. At the moment, it's too predictable. The relationships between the character, the events and what's going to happen next, you know before you read. Art: The art in this manga, I thought, was rather good. The characters were drawn fine. But, yet again, I found that the eyes of the female character was funnily drawn. Enjoyment: It was amusing while it lasted. Predictable, but amusing nonetheless. |
