Koe no Katachi review
Why don't they ever write a story about the asshole instead of the 'nice guy' 'loser-kun?' That's essentially what began the process of breaking the mold with Koe no Katachi.
[8] : Art I'm no art mogul, but I really enjoy the 'feel' of this artwork. The alternating line thickness really stands out to me. Sometimes it's thin and I take in the detailed backgrounds for each panel. Then it's thick and I focus on the astounding facial expressions. Those are two of the biggest high points for me and I truly feel this art is 'very good' on the verge of 'great.' [10] : Character Slice of life, school setting, romance in the air, you're already waiting for all the cliche characters to show up. Instead you're met with a deaf girl whose been put through the ringer, and the asshole trying to restore the happiness that once belonged to little girl naive of what lies ahead of her and her family. That's right, there's also a family element to this series that adds a layer of depth to both the development and complexity of our main characters. Mom and dad aren't just away on business the entire series *shock*. There's actually writing at work, and it's pretty damn good. [8] : Story Outstanding characters and very good art make it hard to file any grievances, but I wasn't that interested in the plot-device they chose to advance the characters and move the story. I felt that the pacing slightly dragged near the beginning, and although I would say the series ending was above average, I didn't get everything I was hoping for. Still, nitpicking aside, just the story's concept alone justifies the score. [8] : Overall If half scores existed it would get an 8.5 from me. Admittedly low-balling it a little here. This series will be a mainstay staple in what I recommend to friends in perpetuum. A breath of fresh air. Doesn't overstay it's welcome. Makes you think. Keeps you forgiving of it's flaws, and preaching it's merits. Feels like a classic. It's hard to believe it starting publishing in 2013. That's a damn compliment.

Vagabond review
disappointing manga
the end is not good , actually there are no end the story was too simple and events are really few but he mange to write more than 300 chapter maybe because of that scenes that take the whole page with few word , the repeating memories over and over , the art wasn't bad actually it is good but i am not the one who read 300 chapters with poor ideas for just "the art is good" the story itself isn't bad if he present it in 50-100 chapter but all thing about money so let's waste much time for many events that really don't matter and another thing the story is really straight forward there are nothing u just get surprised and say "wtf!! how this happened?" or "i don't see that coming " maybe u could name it the Seinen edition of kenshin nothing more

Monster review
I rarely give tens to mangas. But this one just deserves it! Why? I'm going to tell you:
Monster isn't a tradional manga. It isn't about fighting. I even dare to say it is a 'Love it or hate it'-manga. If you are the type of Naruto and Bleach and looking for that kind of manga, this isn't the manga for you. If you are looking for an intense, well-written manga, I would recommend this certainly for you. The story is complex and long. Altough it's long, there isn't one single filler. It is all part of the same story. The story is about several characters, whom all have their own background and story. All the characters, you could just find them in real-life. And that is awesome. It all feels real and the flow of the story is... perfect. The art was fine, although it isn't traditional drawn. Sometimes I thought the art was too unrealistic for the story. Some of the guys had way too big noses and stuff, but it wasn't really bothering though. I think it is hard to explain what is so perfect about this manga. The story is excellent, I think that is the main thing why I just like it so much. It is complex and intense, just like I said before. You will like the characters and follow their lives troughout the story. Tenma, the main character, goes from place to place and you get a peek into lives of other people. That is done so fantastic and real that you'll just start loving all those good people. The story is so complex, it left me with quite some questions. It is a manga in which not everything will be explained. You will have to live with that and make conclusion for your own. I didn't like that first, but now I realise it perhaps is just fine. The actions of humans aren't always explained in real-life either.... My conclusion: This manga is perfect for everyone who loves thrillers and tension! The 10 it has gotten from me, well, it just deserves it!

Toraware-hime review
Toraware-hime is an S&M story. If you can appreciate sadomasochism, you’ll enjoy this story. Since it’s short, there isn’t much character development. Just enough smut to keep you entertained. I like that it wasn’t the typical gushy romantic storyline. For being more S&M than other smuts and pacing:8.
The second story is a bit weird in regards to the protoganists’ relationship with her parents, but it’s a short story. Not as interesting a plot as the main story. It’s more reverse harem shoujo with some smut. I could pass on that one, but it wasn’t bad although the art wasn’t great. Overall a 6.

HIKI review
Right off, I just want to say that as of yet, I have been unable to find the fifth and final chapter to this series and therefore this review will only be covering the first four chapters. I normally would wait for the last chapter to come out, but it seems the last chapter came out over almost a year ago so... If I manage to find this last chapter I will edit this review, but until now, this is all you get.
The plot to Hiki is an original one yet it feels like it's been done before. The concept of a creepy looking girl's head and/or arms appearing whenever the protagonist Rin pulls or tries to grab something is interesting, yet as of chapter four, it has not been explained at all or how it really ties into the wordrobe in the woods. As mentioned as well, the plot feels like it's been done before, probably largle due to how similar the girl's head is to that of the Grudge. Finally plot wise, the entire thing seems very episodic, going from one incident of the head appearing to another without much development or actual plot substance given, making the series seem rushed and a bit of a cry for "This could have been so much better!" It's a good idea, but sadly it wasn't pulled off very well. The art, on the other hand, is quite good. Not perfect though as the characters do go a bit off model a couple times in each chapter, usually when the head pops out to say hello. The art has a very unique and viseral feel to it though that helps to pull the series along. All the characters are distinguishable, not just the same character model with different hair. Which brings us to characterization oddly enough. This is another weak point the series has. A lot of the characters seem like they could be interesting and we really want to see them developed more instead of just skimmed as they are. This can be blamed a fair bit simply on how short the series is, but even so it really feels like they threw in a lot of unneeded side characters. For example, the girl in chapter three who seems to be more or less stalking Rin yet she NEVER APPEARS AGAIN after being in all of two scenes despite seeming to have an interesting background based on what little we found out about her. I'm not gonna lie, I did enjoy this probably a bit more than it deserved. It's a good idea that sadly went to the dumps and the horror scenes often end up funnier than they were scary. I really wish this had been better, but I can't give this more than a 6 out of 10. If you're looking for a bad horror to laugh at, feel free to try this, but otherwise don't bother. Also if you do plan to read this, be prepared for some bad fan translations as that's all this is available in right now for English speakers, and it's some of the worst translating I've seen in a while.

Virgin Blood: Hiiro no Bansan review
I still feel a pang of disappointment whenever I see this title. It had potential. A simple title of vampirism with an absolutely gorgeous male lead and an okay female protagonist but it just fell into melodramatic schlock with a very dissatisfying ending.
I loved the art very much. I found it to be quite beautiful and competent and the male lead was competently okay in that he was serviceable for being the charming vampire that he was. The daughter was fine but easily replaceable with any other random girl, and the other vampire butlers could have been done away with. The whole "I can't live without you" plot has been overdone and didn't bring anything new to the table: Paint-by-numbers and very typical, with an ending that left my so disappointed for what the story could have been--basically anything but what ended up happening. You know, I don't think there really even was that much potential in the story, I just hate it when gorgeous red-haired bishonen are wasted in a crappy story such as this.

Blame Gakuen! And So On review
What I want to talk about the most is the Blame Academy short story.
I recommend reading it if you are a big fan of Blame! as the subject matter that is presented in Blame Academy is enjoyed the most only after you had truly experienced Blame! Other than that, there are a few other short stories in this volume and most of them, if not all, are taking place in the world of Blame!. There is story that is really gross and I really found it to be a turnoff (not that it shouldn't be read). There are not many reasons for reading this. I do recommend it if you want some more info about the world of Blame!. I found the one about Silicon Life to be most interesting. Also one more thing about Blame Academy. I find the relationships between characters in it to represent the ones in Blame! very well even if they are moe. Would recommend

Cross x Regalia review
This manga felt really off in terms of pacing, moving pretty slowly at points, but then suddenly rushing things way too fast towards the ending. The premise and plot were interesting, though I'm more interested where things go afterwards as the ending left Haserou in a pretty high and quite interesting position. To that end while not perfect, I would say the ending was reasonably satisfying. However, a major issue that came up for the ending and pretty much everything leading up to it was that it was tremendously confusing. It did not do a good job at explaining what so going on, and hence felt quite random.
This was present for a lot of aspects, the combat mechanics, the various factions the major twist relating to the main characters relationship to them, and even the motivations behind some of the characters. Beyond that, the two main characters were interesting though, and while their relationship development was rushed and a bit cliché I still thought it was pretty nice. The art was okay, good style but a bit rough.
A manga that has some solid concepts but has major issues with pacing, particularly in terms of the rushed ending. 7/10

Hobgoblin: Majo to Futari review
A fresh Japanese interpretation of European folklore, somewhere between an adorable and wholesome children's story and an odd grimm fairy tale.
Initially, it's fun to discover a mystical world through a painfully innocent and unaware protagonist. There's this weird charm to it all. It starts off more episodic, but eventually grows into a gripping story. However, as the plot starts to escalate, the writing and world become much less interesting, as do the characters. It is a fun story, but if you are looking for something to bite into, it's mostly thematically simple, and what there is isn't explored or applied thoroughly enough. A bit of a missed opportunity, but still a sweet time.
