X Diary review
While the slice of life genre is more popular now than ever before, there’s not always a lot of realism among your average moe high school girls. X Diary was probably not intended to stand in contrast to such works, but it still does so. Unfortunately, it showed me that I like my unrealstic SoL.

Our heroes are Mingo, a comic artist, and Jerry, a musician, and they have just broken up. Told in what you probably know as a 4koma style, X Diary follows their daily life as they struggle with this decision and where to go from there. I’ve never been in such a situation, but nonetheless could relate to the mood of the story – if nothing else, X Diary captures the pace of a busy but dull life quite well. Unfortunately, while that means you will nod along with the story, there’s also very little else going for it. Nothing really happens, not even the gimmicky events like going to the beach that other slices of life boast, so it gets dull quickly.

A similar thing could be said of X Diary’s characters. A good series has characters that one can relate to but are also entertaining; X Diary’s cast only embodies the first of those qualities, as they are very believable in an uninspired way. Unfortunately, the art of the series does very little to help readers enjoy characters: it’s more or less scribbles. The clean scribbles of an artist, but scribbles nonetheless. If this were a friend’s doodles about her past relationship, I would be impressed, but this is a published work, something that’s supposed to tell the readers something solid.

Despite its shortcomings, X Diary is a pretty enjoyable manhwa. The upside to its slow, uneventful story, art, and characters is that nothing gets in the way of it being an ultimately believable work. Still, if art were to always imitate life in this way, I think I’d get bored quickly; X Diary is an interesting quick read if you want something a little bit different and not the least bit flashy, but little else.

Leona Explosion review
tl;dr: A manga that is amusing in an ecchi way and has a solid set up and reasonably solid conclusion, but lacks a middle strong enough to give them both any deeper impact.

This manga sets up somewhat of an overarching plot, though really it doesn't matter all that much at all. The character set up is decent enough as well I suppose, though there's no development or anything like that either. Rather, the focus seems to be on simply having amusing episodes with the various characters. And to that end, I think it's pretty good, in that I think it was pretty solid comedy and amusement wise, with the art definitely helping in that regard, though it should be noted it goes about this in quite the perverted manner. However, the plot and character development does feel kind of important contrary to what you'd expect, and this is one of those mangas where the substantial portion of that is supposed to be in the middle, as the set up occurs at the beginning and can't really go all in really doing all that much, and the ending tries to give some sort of overall plot resolution so it doesn't have time to really dive into it that much either. The problem here is that the manga was too short for there really be a middle, and with it basically reaching it's finale right as soon as the opening felt over, I don't think that it ever really hit the good part that much. Still, for as short as it was, I thought it was decent. The art as mentioned was pretty good and used well.

Dolls Fall review
This was the first gorey manga that I read, and boy did it leave a strong impression on me. In fact, I still consider it one of the most twisted series out there.

The strength of this series doesn't lie in its gore. The strength of this series lies in the fucked-upness that it achieves in both story and characters. Some of the characters and their actions are truly disgusting and pretty sickening. The fact that the recipient of such actions are little girls makes it worse.

This doesn't mean this series has bad gore, either. In fact, the gore in this series, although not the most extreme, imo is one of the best in terms of quality. The guts are not only detailed, but even have a glistening quality to them. You can really feel the love the author put into drawing them.

Art: The art in this series was spot-on. Although at times the faces of some characters looked like squished play-do, the dark and twisted art style really complimented the series.

Story: The story could've been better. Most annoying were the many things introduced and then ignored for the rest of the series. Superpowers were introduced, then all but forgotten. The "Dolls Fall" game wasn't really explained, and it was never really explored. Girls having some kind of past was hinted, and then generally forgotten. At times the girls figure stuff out, but they take little to no action regarding it. Seriously, the author tried to put in way too much stuff, which left everything half-assed. The random stuff not only distracted from the plot, but also left big breaks in gore, which was a damn shame.

Overall: 7/10. The story could've been a lot better, but the gore + fucked-upness really shone through. And ultimately, that's what I look for in a horror manga. This isn't one of those horror manga that make you jumpy and paranoid. This is one of those series that makes you lose a bit of faith in humanity. While not the most shocking, some of the scenes in this series left a strong and lasting impression. Overall good read, and would recommend.

Butsuri-san de Musou shitetara Motemote ni Narimashita review
Irrational scenes are all over the chapter, I dropped it on chapter 5 because of very poorly written character dialogues.

Main show of the manga is just sex, ecchi, and harem, whenever the author tries something serious it will be just two or one pages before the tension is broken because of bad dialogues, for example, they might die and it's all dangerous, the characters are very nervous, then suddenly the girl will say something horrid like if the mc dies she will also kill herself, then that background will be all lovey dovey with glittering heart heart everywhere.

The main attraction isn't that good to begin with, protagonist is worth to nothing if you remove his strength, harem girls are one dimensional like how the guild master girl knows less than a newbie adventurer(protagonist), the harem is so easy to get even though the only redeemable feature of the protagonist is his strength.

And lastly the main problem is the main protagonist, always doing one liners that no one literally cares about, they're about to die? *Girl makes a nervous face* "cute", the protagonist almost died sure, *Girl makes face face bs* "cute". It's just infuriating to read and I dropped it.

This is just my review though, don't know if the novel is like this or the manga just fucked up. Try it yourself.

JUST READ AND COMMIT THE MIRACLE!

This is LITERALLY the BEST manga I've ever read. It just take 3 chapters for you to know how GREAT this manga is, I'm the smartest person in the world, so I kept reading and it was just getting BETTER!

The story is about so much, I may be the "smartest person in the world", but I'm constantly thinking about the themes and messages of the series. But we have a boy who is fanatic about Papico [an adult film star going through hard times with her family and the media constantly harassing her] and wants to surpass his fathers standards and legacy and become his own person. Through an odd meet-up at the end of the first chapter their fates are intertwined with the odd sci-fi journey ahead of them. The best part about these characters are their relationships and experiences. They act like proper human beings, the scenes by the restaurant and the bath take their time to introduce themselves to the reader and develop them as people. This manga is about their relationship and growth, which is outstandingly written and has outstanding development.

The art may look pretty at the beginning, but it gets so much better as it goes on. Oku's CGI work and paneling is beautiful, I heavily recommend reading how he does his paneling and art, he's very ahead of his time. He tries many angles and compositions, it's outstanding how he's able to get this high quality of art out in such a short time. Easily some of the best of the industry.

But the best part must be the author referencing his other works throughout the manga. He makes his characters say: "Hey, have you ever read Gantz or Inuyashiki? IT'S REALLY GREAT!". These scenes are great, they're really funny and keep it charming in it's own way. Oku's very self aware in his writing and knows how goofy a story may seem to an average reader, in it for the action. Yet in a way the references also stay in line with the themes of the story.

So, plot? There is tons!
Characters? Outstanding, they act as real and natural as anyone would in these situations.
Narrative? Masterfully written, there is a huge sense of progression and evolution between the characters!
Antagonist? Tons! The series takes its roots from classic Tokusatsu series like Ultraman and Gridman, while also giving commentary about the nature of human beings, society, and the media.

If you really love manga as a whole and wants to make your soul feel purified, this is the manga for you!

Dokyuu Hentai HxEros review
The world is on the verge of an unexpected crisis: humanity is invaded by unknown aliens, censor bugs, who absorb the people’s h-energy, making them asexual. Because of that, the world is suffering from declining birth rates. Five heroes, however, are ready to save all with H and Ero. Their names are: Shirayuki Maihime, Enjou Retto, Hoshino Kirara, Momozono Momoka and Tenkuuji Sora.

Someone once said, hero is written with the words H and Ero, which pretty much gives you an idea of what this manga is going to be about. Enjou Retto is a superhero, who fights against the bugs, because he has his own reasons; his first love suffered the attack of the aliens and she no longer loves him. Unforgivable! He now, with the power of HxEros, which is a wristwatch-like device that gives its owner the power in exchange for the user’s erotic power, tries to settle a score with the invaders. Guess how this device is recharged? You guessed it right.

And while the storyline does not sound like something mind-blowing, it is still somewhat unique, somewhat. The characters, however, suffer clichés to the fullest. Never before have I seen an ecchi, with so many clichés, there have been so many of them that I lost count.

All in all, Dokyuu Hentai HxEros will get an anime adaptation in July, 2020. I will give the manga some extra points for a somewhat unique story. If you are looking for an ecchi power rangers, which is the best possible description for this manga and clichés do not trouble you, you might want give this manga a try. If you, however, dislike cliché harems, I would advise you to avoid it.

Haken no Kouki Altina review
Alright, so once I was so bored I started writing random things at MyAnimeList browser to see what happened. After a while, and finding Lionel Messi in not one but TWO anime and manga (beat that, CR7 (no hate on him)), following my asado-fútbol-mate gaucho nacionalist pride instinct, I typed "Argentina" to see if there was something remotely close. To my surprise I found the main character of this series, and I was so bored I said "Heh, I don´t read manga, so why not start here? Whatever". And there was a good thing and a bad thing about it. The bad thing? They don´t call her Argentina, they brief it to Altina (pero la pu...). The good thing? It was a great read.

I didn´t only find a non-fantastic (even idk why it is labeled as fantastic), pretty realistic military series as I have been looking for a long time in anime world, but also it was great. The story made a lot of sense, it had really great interactions and events, and the characters were pretty great to me. Also it pushed me to read more manga, so it had a really great effect on me. I loved every battle, the author made them really well and, even it may not be a top flight, unique anime, it is greatly enjoyable.

Unluckily the manga ended too soon. Still, I will mostly sure go on with reading the light novels, as I want to see how the story ends. Well done, authors. You did a great job. A comparison? CA Huracán 2015 squad: Not really known in the world but a great masterpiece in the field.

Story: 8/10
Art: 6/10
Character: 7/10
Enjoyment: 9/10

Overall: 8/10
Should you read it? Yes, it´s a great hidden gem out there.
