Gaksital review
This is simply the single most touching and greatest piece of writing I have read in my entire life, and yes I am biased because I am a Korean. But you don't have to be a Korean to appreciate how great this manhwa is. This is a fictional story based off real events during the Japanese colonial rule of Korea.

I already wrote the synopsis on the page, so I don't find it necessary for me to write it in my review. My thoughts on the manhwa is very simple: "Greatest of All Time". This manhwa literally has everything great + realism. The Korean Drama is even better than the manhwa (surprisingly instead of cutting out some scenes from the manhwa and having bad-pacing, the drama actually elaborates the plot and adds in even more exciting side-stories that intertwine into a grand wholesome story; Masterful Pacing). Read + Watch --> Gaksital

The art in the manhwa is unfortunately not the greatest, but that's probably because it was written in 1974. This isn't saying that it's bad, because the art does give it a sense of realism which is wondrous.

I recommend you watch the Korean Drama adaptation of this manhwa because it is the greatest show I have ever seen. I've re-watched the show more than 10 times. Yep. It gets a ∞/10 every time. I made this review super short on purpose; Stop reading this stupid review now and go read the manhwa. If reading old things aren't your favorite thing to do, then watch the amazing Korean Drama: Gaksital aka Bridal Mask. It is my favorite show in the entire world~ Exciting, Compelling, Captivating, Romantic, Touching, Powerful, Thought Provoking, Tragic, Brilliant, and Legendary.

Simply divine, a perfect work from start to finish, it deserves a focused and appreciative reading.
Definitely very underestimated, surely there should be more attention from the audience that sums it up only to the word "rape", the protagonist's feelings, his revolt, his revenge, is an indescribable feeling ... indescribable! He certainly has reason to carry out his longed for and expected revenge, which consists of ********** without spoilers! lol. The protagonist, whose name is Keyaru, seems to be at first impression a mental patient, but as the work unfolds you sympathize with him in an incredible way, understanding his motives and ambitions. He's a very good character who deserves an award.
The secondary characters in the manga are also very good, like Freia, who is a character who has a strong connection to the protagonist, she is one of the reasons for her revenge. I was AMAZED by what Keyaru does with her, it was unpredictable, surprising and crazy, but it only increased my interest in the work.
I really had a lot of fun reading this masterpiece, which exudes both quality and entertainment, it's a very fun thing to read, and on top of that, it holds you up, gives you that suspense with every cliffhanger done right on time.
Romance is also a point to highlight, with real feelings that give you the feeling that the characters are really involved with each other, it is a very nice thing to read!
This manga definitely deserves a 10. It is extremely beautiful, the author has a beautiful streak, contains great direction in certain scenes, scenes that are magnificent in my view, contains well developed and built characters, who are also charismatic and you certainly cling to them. It has a very good, intriguing story, spectacular nuances, with well-made and unpredictable plot twists, it manages to trap you at extraordinary levels. The action scenes are great but they leave something to be desired in some frames, other than that, they are perfect.
This manga is incredible, splendid, magnificent, fabulous, beautiful, it is stupidly brilliant! It is definitely superior to any work I have ever done and I will consume, nothing will be better or as good. In short, it is a masterpiece, and if I could give it a grade higher than 10, I would certainly give it.
I recommend it to everyone! A very rewarding job.
Just an addendum: a twitter user whose nickname is pesgo recommended this work to me, I owe him a lot! Thank you very much Pêssego!

Agravity Boys review
This manga has an all male, handsome cast and centers around male friendship. The fact that one of the boys looks like a girl is a recurring and **important** theme. There are frequently boy's love/yaoi/ecchi jokes. It is heavy on gag rather than deep storytelling and the characters often act idiotically. Many of the chapters are episodic and character-driven.

These are the most vital things that will determine whether you like this manga - if you are very averse to one of these things you'll probably not like it.

On the flip side, if you DO like these things you'll probably love it.

Story - 8:
Many of the chapters are more episodic, but lately there have been more little stories that span 2 or more chapters. In particular, the last few chapters as of writing this (chapters 10-12) seem to be the start of a longer story.

Art - 9
The art is great. The scenery of the planet looks quite nice. Best of all, the characters are very very expressive - there are several memorable expressions that may stick with you. The character themselves each have a distinctive, memorable design.

Character - 8:
Most of the characters are colorful, energetic and jump out at you, especially the characters that the manga starts with. Only one of the newly introduce characters really stands out, however.

I think the biggest problem is the amount of overlap in the personalities of some of the characters, with the exception of Chris and Grislow, but this may change later on. It is easy to want to learn more about these characters, though, which speaks to their distinct designs and interactions with each other.

Overall - 9:
The first paragraph of this review will be the most important determinant for deciding whether you should start this or will like it. If the elements in that paragraph sound like a good time to you, this manga does a good job at employing those elements, and you'll probably really enjoy your time reading.

Hatoko-san to Love Comedy review
[ Disclaimer ]
This review will be done for the two chapters that are available on the interwebs as of right now (chapter 0 and chapter 1).

Story: 7.5/10
------------------
For what it's worth, pretty good setup for a romantic-comedy. Obviously, I have yet to progress further so the majority of the story is unbeknownst to me (likewise for the ending) but I think it's safe to say that it'll progress and work out similarly to the first few chapters. As our narrator (male MC) tells us, because he's a possible candidate to succeed his grandfather's industrial conglomerate- he's been forced to live with a worker from the educational sector of the company. This "worker" turns out to be quite a character; I'll get to that later on. There seems to be plenty of ecchi and fan service with the rest emphasizing on comedic situations.

Art: 8/10
---------------
Really really superb. The designs of the male lead and female lead are both well drawn and appealing aesthetically. The first few color pages of chapter 0 (not sure if fan filled or not) was done really well. Background work gave an impression of being done with detail because it was implemented properly and not thrown in last second as filler. Other details such as text sound effects added nicely to the art style and the speech bubbles were clean and not excessive.

Characters: 8/10
----------------------
So far, only two characters have been introduced. The male lead- a 16 year old possible candidate to a large conglomerate and the company's worker sent to teach and evaluate his candidacy to succeed the corporation. Per his words, he is a perfectly healthy high school boy; and well, for the worker- she is "his maid, his educator, his guardian, his arbitrator, his childhood friend, his cousin, his little sister, and bride candidate". Whew, wow. Not sure how that cousin and little sister part works out but I digress. By the way, if you didn't catch her name- she's the one the manga's title takes after: Hatoko. Hatoko is an adorable character, not by being kawaii and lively but through her sharp words with that straight-edged poker face. She is no tsundere though, sorry. The chemistry, interactions and the way they play off each other's words and actions are a joy to watch.

Enjoyment/Overall: 8/10
-------------------------------
A fair score for what I've read so far. If and hopefully when this manga is fully released, I'll come back to readjust my assessment. Putting that aside, as far the genre tags go, it's spot on. The story is a good read for your ecchi comedy needs. A easy recommendation for me and should be quite memorable when it's all said and done.

Junai Strip review
I loved this short volumed manga. It was fun, cute, and an overall sweet story.

As a summary here is the idea. Guy and girl are best friends in elementary and moving on to Junior High/High School together. Unfortunately, even though girl is a nerd in appearance, she's far from being a nerd mentally. What does that mean? She's not smart by any stretch of the imagination. The guy however is a rebel, troublemaker who only applied to the smart school with girl because he liked girl. He got in and is considered a genius. So he's the uber hottie who's very smart. Now it's three years later and girl has another chance to apply to uber smart school that uber smart boy got into which she had failed. He wants her to go to the school with him and willing tutors in all things that is not ONLY school related.

Obviously this story is not very original; it's an atypical teen romantic comedy. However, the characters are well defined and well written that it's just an original story. The story will have you giggling a bit. It has a high level of smut (so fore-warning). But the characters are really fun, I can't say it enough.

A bit of character discussion. The lead girl as mentioned is not smart, but she is given the stereotypical nerdy look. She's sweet. She's a bit naive, but what's great about this story versus some of Shinjo Mayu's other work is that the girl has had some experience in other relationships. So it was entertaining to see the guy deal with that factor and have some anxiety and insecurity about it. The male lead was far from domineering but he was horny as hell and he did throw in a bit of emotional blackmail to get some, but she was totally willing to have some fun too. The entire story seemed realistic and it was a good read.

I personally like these nerdy girl/hot guy stories so it was a plus. The art work is always great and definitely something to read. As a note this story has a bit of similarity to Itazura na Kiss, but if you're American or not the most fitting is the movie She's All That. If you're American or not and have seen this film, you'll see a bit of similarity but the manga is not that deep. But you have the nerdy looking girl who's so NOT nerdy and you have the uber hot/smart guy (in the manga he's running for President but not President unlike the film). So there are similarities there. Great reading.

**Oh, if you haven't seen She's All That...I loved it and I'm a film snob. I think you should get your hands on it.

Diabolik Lovers: Anthology Cardinal review
Not bad, I guess? Hear me out.

If you're here after loving the anime, there's no doubt you'll like this. If you're here after despising the anime (me) then there's still a chance that you might like it, albeit much slimmer. I have seen both seasons, the OVA, and the recap episode of the anime, and to be honest, I hated all of them. Nobody had any character, the plot was a little dumb and really boring, nothing really made sense, there was no focus, there was too much rape that didn't have any place in the story but fan service, and the main character acted like she had the memory of a goldfish and didn't remember anything that happened more than two waking moments ago.

However, some of these issues are fixed in the manga. To put it better, the manga is split into 'one-shot' chapters. Each chapter stands alone with whichever guy the episode is focused on. This removes the dumb plot and characterization isn't even needed. In addition to this, Yui is revealed to be a masochist and she admits a lot of the things they do she actually likes. Because of these two big changes, the entire manga is much more readable.

But wait: that doesn't mean this is magically a good manga. This is a thousand times BETTER than the anime, but it's by no means good.

There really isn't a story. It reads like oneshots. The art is inconsistent but fairly clean enough. There is no character we can even speak of.

I enjoyed it enough to finish it. It also has (thankfully) short chapters.

I would recommend this if: you like one-shots, you like short stuff, you want to insert yourself into the heroine's place, you like forceful guys, you like romance with no plot, you don't care about there being a plot

I would NOT recommend this if: you wanted something long term, you want plot, you want a developed romance, you want character development, you like fluffy romance

Have a nice day everyone!!

Dead Tube review
This is the best comedy manga i've read since King's Game.

It fails as a thriller simply because the story itself doesn't have a framework that allows for good character development to happen. Instead of the characters growing naturally and developing relationships with one another, the story prioritizes filming obscene acts for views for the sake of blood and gore. That might not be completely unenjoyable as a thriller, but none of the characters were engaging enough for you to care if they succeed or not.

If you're watching it for the blood and gore, prepare to be highly disappointed, as the violence extends to nothing beyond anything you would see in an averagely violent series like Terraformars or Elfen Lied. The characters are drawn in an incredibly generic art style with flat faces that don't pop out or look distinct beyond generic anime attractiveness and the gore is incredibly uncreative to the point where it feels less like watching viscera and more like watching a dummy being thrown in a woodchipper.

It's one thing to have your manga include heavy subject matter like rape, pedophilia and murder but it's another thing to rely on value of those elements in a vacuum to sell a story. Those elements add nothing to the story and provide nothing but half-decent drinking material.

Dark does not equal mature.

If you're watching this as a comedy, i highly recommend it. Characters are emotional and overdramatic for reasons untold, plot twists are thrown left and right like M. Night on speed, characters are introduced solely for the purpose of them getting raped or murdered, villains are portrayed as one dimentional cartoon rapists and there's one arc that literally revolves around getting a guy to kill himself. For a show that's supposedly for adults, it's very cartoony and entertaining.

Dead Tube is a solid 3.
