I usually don't like to write reviews on things that aren't completed, but I couldn't resist this time. I'll be honest, Attack on Titan was one of the first anime I watched, and I really liked it. But the anime is NOTHING compared to this. I expected a simple, mindless action manga, judging by what the anime offered, and the 18 volumes that are out at the moment far exceeded my expectations.
With such a large amount of characters, making readers care about each and every one of them is a difficult thing to pull off, but Isayama does it just fine. I especially liked the arc that focused on Ymir and Christa, I just thought their relationship was so nice and it gave depth to two characters that could have been completely useless. As for Eren, Mikasa, and Armin, they aren't exactly the best main characters, but they're all good in their own way, they all have their flaws and good traits alike. Oh, also, this is a bit off topic but I love that they're none of that "power of friendship" crap that's in most shounen.

Now let's talk about the story. I thought that this manga wasn't going to have much story at all, aside from killing titans and making military plans. That all changed with the arc where the Survey Corps decided to overthrow the king and they started to discover more and more about the Titans. While some were upset that we didn't get to see Titans for a while, I think that part did a lot of good for the story.
If I have any complaints about Attack on Titan, it would be the pacing. Some parts are a bit too slow, some too rushed. I also didn't like the way Isayama revealed the Armored and Colossal titans' identities, it didn't feel right.
Overall, Shingeki no Kyojin is an awesome manga that I would totally recommend for lovers of action series, this was a much longer review than I had hoped, and I can't wait for volume 19.

I have read 6 manga chapters and really liked it, I'll be letting down what I am thinking of the first impressions of this manga that if you continue the way it is, will have a great future ahead

A great story with a Shounen main character, but this mc has an skill and charisma higher than expected, a manga with great potential, let's wait and see. do not have a pre-conception, you will enjoy this.




I'll keep reading and i hope that the story is still as good or better than it is, and i will be hoping that this manga will have a successful anime.

Warning: Minor spoilers about the flow of events, but tl;dr: you aren't missing anything special by reading the reviews for this one before you accidentally waste the better part of an hour on this schlock.

The characterization and story really fail to show any potential, at any point in this manga. The entire cast of characters is unceremoniously dumped upon the reader almost immediately and with so little meaningful exposition (and although an attempt was made to dump a bunch of it on you early, none of it feels of consequence when you are expected to actually follow along with over a dozen same-y characters introduced to you within 40 pages), some of the characters even fail to live up to a single bad, cliched trope, and clearly almost all of them exist simply to further make us feel bad when something happens to them. It begs the question of why the author chose to use so many heroines in the first place when making more than a handful of them even just one-note characters was beyond their writing capabilities for this piece.

The story itself is a joke, too. Horror and tragedy rely upon the reader feeling some semblance of connection to the characters or buying in to the atmosphere of dread the author is constructing, but the core story idea is so poorly mismanaged that the actual tragic events (and the in-character reactions to them) easily slip past the barrier between tragedy and into pure comedy. Some of the only times the characters can be seen exercising a degree of common sense is when it occurs to them to strip to avoid unfortunate environmental hazards, which begs the question of why the author didn't simply make an h-doujin instead of trying to string together such a shoddy story.

Not to say it would be salvaged by being pure hentai, either, as the art is far from the "not great but better than average" I was led to expect coming in based on the work's MAL rating, but I suppose weighted ratings help obscure just how below average something really is. The faces are really all over the place, *especially* early on, and in several instances some liberties were taken in adding detail to the background art, which may have been the saving grace in pulling any aspect of this manga to the average category. It IS ecchi, and while the girly bits aren't stand-out, it wouldn't be out of place for an amateur h-doujin. Alas, this piece tries too hard to make the reader care about a poorly constructed plot, and misses the chance to just be a silly dumb pseudo-porn manga.


I can't in good faith rate this manga a 1 because it lacks anything that grotesquely offends the reader's sensibilities, but to even call this simply mediocre is an insult to the mediocrity I've still had the good sense to take some joy out of. A thorough waste of time for anything besides the occasional TnA (can I recommend just reading hentai instead?), and the memes that come from consuming really bad media for shits and giggles. I had more fun writing this review than I did reading the manga.

Plot:
Main Character is kidnapped by 5 women and tortured by them...and that's it. Some chapters are just him being tortured.
And we need to talk about the tortures...well, they are highly sexual.
This manga include: cross-dressing, shaving, cunnilingus, anilingus, fisting, pissing (golden shower and drinking), diaper fetish, dog role-play, baby&mom role-play, shota, rape, lesbian rape, etc...I think the only thing I didn't see was scat, but a character was threating to shit in the MC's plate if he don't eat his food, so that's that.
Anyway this manga is a masochist dream.
The story truly have a mystery which is why they are torturing him, but well, we still don't know and showing the sexual tortures take precedence.

Art:
As you probably noticed the manga is a borderline hentai. Expect a lot panties shots, ahegao, girls are naked most of the time and having big boobs.

Characters:
Nothing much to talk about them without spoilers, but to summarize all the girls are very crazy. In fact, all women in this manga are crazy and weird sex maniacs.
It's difficult to judge MC...He do nothing to try to escape most of the time and It's not even enough time to Stockholm to kick in.

Enjoyment: Meh, just reading because I'm curious about why they kidnapped him.

Overall: If you are a masochist, read. You probably will like.

I did find one thing somewhat deep and touching in this manga! Yay!

In order to work under his favorite author Amara Tsurugi, Miyashita Akira has to follow some strict (and odd) rules. This means cross-dressing and embracing the cross-dressing life style.

Cross-dressing isn't something new, honestly I'm a big fan or it. That said I'm also a fan of a good Yaoi, and this is noted under Shounen Ai, but it isn't really, so don't get your hopes up in any way. Its basically a pervert dressing school kids up for entertainment and help with work. But the plot also contains some humor so its redeemable. Other then that there isn't much to it.

Art:: 6

The art is very basic, nothing special about it. There isn't really anything unique about it.

Character:: 6

While there are only 4 chapters published, I will say that we get no character development. Though I wasn't expecting there to be any. The only true development that I could see was Akira growing to craze being more and more feminine. It was interesting to see how just a few simple changes could transform him into a girl and how he enjoyed it despite having denied wanting to cross-dress at all.

Enjoyment:: 7

It was decent. I mean I didn't really pick this up as a series read. I just wanted something funny and weird, which I certainly got with this. Though it wasn't as odd as I had hopped. It was funny and kind of all over the place, but again I wasn't expecting anything series or anything that made sense. This was one of those, 'Oh look, a rather unknown manga, not only that but look at that cover, I must read it!'. It was one of my mindless decisions that seem to get me into a long of trouble.

Overall:: 7

This is the only series I've ever read in its entirety in one sitting.

Girl May Kill is a bloody, dark, gangster mafia manga. The situations presented in the story are already disturbing enough. And then when you take in the fact that one of the main characters is just a fifteen-year-old girl, it makes it even more so.

The story is told mostly told from Aki Gohongi's perspective, a 20-something-year-old guy returning to his childhood hometown to work at a video store. He thinks he's coming back to familiar territory, but he quickly learns of the underworld and dealings that goes on behind the scenes. He promises himself that he won't get involved. But if you know how these stories go, you can probably guess how well he keeps his promise...

Girl May Kill is very reminiscent of classic gangster films; one scene even symbolically pays homage to the film Scarface. And although it draws from these older gangster films, the story itself is far from cookie-cutter. One twist in the plot in particular caught me completely off-guard.

From what I drew, two themes are blatantly evident throughout. The theme of everyone having harboring evil inside of them. And "scorpion and turtle" theme (you'll know this is about when you get to that point in the story).

It has been rumored that the story was meant to be much, much longer. Somewhere around 100 chapters instead of the 23 we ended up with. That being said, the last few chapters feel rushed and I admit that the ending is very abrupt with many questions left unanswered. If it had kept going, this had the potential to be a 9 or maybe even a 10 in my book. I highly recommend it.

As someone who is not a huge fan of sex in media – I found Aki-Sora to be a difficult read.
I found myself cringing or feeling bored in some parts.
Why did I read it then? To prove to a friend that I actually could.
Warning: There is a lot of sex and other mature themes in Aki-Sora.

Story: 6/10
Aki-Sora is about a young boy who has a sexual relationship with his sister.
The story is about a young boy's sexual exploits until about 20 chapters in. The redeeming parts of the story that make Aki-Sora a worthwhile read – are the character backstories. I found the backstories of Aki, Sora and Nami's parents to be quite intriguing as well as the building of the relationship between Kana and Nami.
Other than that the story is mostly disconjointed sex scenes at the end of each chapter (which served as a buildup to the 'climatic' sex scene). This is where Aki-Sora suffered for me.

Art: 4/10
Yes the characters are cute; but I sometimes found it hard to interpret which character was saying what in each panel.
The illustrations of various body fluids also made me a bit queasy.

Characters: 7/10
Aki-Sora is a character driven manga in which we get to see the different character's inner turmoils.
In some cases – this is brilliantly executed; when not over shadowed by the constant sex.

Enjoyment: 3/10
I found myself forcing myself to read through some parts. I prefer action stories with a lot going on as well as brilliant characters. Aki-Sora is not a story like that.

Overall: 5/10
Aki-Sora only gets an average from me. It's not because of the incest – that doesn't bother me.
I know that it is an ecchi manga – which isn't my type of story.
It isn't a masterpiece; but I do recommend it to people who enjoy ecchi/incest type of stories.

So um, Super Powered Mongolia Invasion is actually not about Mongols at all. Well they are there but... only for the first chapter.

Story - 7
What if instead of discovering steam and electricity we discovered...well...giant limbs? This is the story of our world developing with giant limbs as locomotion. Is it original? Surely. Is it entertaining? Likely. It is coherent? No. No, no, no.

Art - 8
The art style is very detailed and very bloody. Keep away from people who have a lot of nightmares, as there is a lot of night-mare fuel.

Character - 3
I think there was a memorable character in there somewhere. But that's not the point. Developing a character goes contrary to the writing.

Enjoyment - 7
This is highly variable. If you enjoy a complete random adventure drawn with excellent art quality, this is your cup of tea. Unfortunately none of the extremely interesting ideas were much expanded, leaving much to be desired.

Overall - 6
There is a high chance you will enjoy some of this lucid dream. I certainly did, but as a novelty. If you don't like the first chapter you definitely won't like the rest.

So far this manga is a good breath of fresh air, with a very interesting story that haves you guessing and knowing that anything can happen at any time in this manga. This story is about a boy named Kurosu who is a NEET that dropped out of prep school and now finds himself lost not knowing what to do and attempts to end everything. Not spoiling to much he stumbles across a cute girl named
Miyaichi that lives next door that gives him hope to live, little does he know she has very dark secrets. I am really loving this manga with a great feel of suspense and horror also good elements of unusual romance between the two main characters you dont see everyday, a overall great manga that will keep you on the edge of your seat for more.

Ana Satsujin AKA Peephole sits in a very specific niche as far as mystery/drama/horror manga are concerned. It's not very horrifying, although it is gory and violent. It is rather dramatic, although more so in that it provides schlock and easily-predicted plot twists by the handful. As far as mystery goes, there isn't much to be found past the first arc, even if you're particularly naive and can't pick up on the generic tropes presented in the "trash gore-romance drama" genre of manga.
However, this doesn't mean that Ana Satsujin isn't an enjoyable read; Supposing you're a fan of this type of manga or looking for a little bit of garbage in your gore-stew. I myself enjoy schlock, and this manga embodies that entirely: Part Fatal Attraction, part generic serial killer manga, Ana Satsujin satisfies a specific itch that many B-grade manga approach but few actually are able to scratch. It's a shitty thrill ride that is well worth the, admittedly cheap, price of admission.
The characters are one-note, the plot points are contrived, and the twists are so on the nose you'll call them long before you see them; but the point stands, it's just so dumb and goofy that it's hard to put down. Consider it more a horror-comedy/black comedy and chances are you'll laugh and cringe your way to the end before you know it.
It won't blow you away, it's not a masterwork, or even particularly good.
But I'll be damned if it isn't "So bad it's good-ish."
