Koe no Katachi review
I have read a lot of books in my life. For real, I'm pretty sure I have a problem, and in my life I've read hundreds of stories I would consider great. But I have rarely come across a story where every single event, character, motivation, and consequence felt deliberate, predetermined, and connected. A silent voice is one of those stories.

I honestly don't think I've ever seen a pivot so smooth yet so drastic as that between volumes one and two. For about three quarters of volume one you're gonna be thinking, "fuck this spiky haired little shit, picking on this sweet little girl because she can't hear, if I was there I'd mess him up". But then we do see him get messed up, and by people who were complicit in these actions. Watching Shoya get reverse-Uno carded with the force of a Muhammad Ali Dempsey roll by these inherently hypocritical kids forces a small amount of pity into the hearts of us when we were cursing his name only pages ago. This small bit of pity is used to catapult Shoya into the protagonists seat for the remainder of the manga as we watch him try to atone for his sins. Shoko remains the same kind and loveable person and feels responsible for Shoya's lack of friends as a senior, and watching both of these people try to restore as adults what they lost as kids is beautiful and heartwarming.

This story of course is an up and down for our characters, as a constant improvement wouldn't be able to carry a story through seven volumes, but it doesn't have the artificial drawn out feel of a soap opera or CW show. Every setback is an aftereffect of Shoya's own actions and the way the people around him read them. We watch all of these imperfect people refuse to acknowledge their own flaws while Shoya has the self awareness and clarity to see the faults of others in an objective light because he is aware of his own. The characters are like planets and watching them slowly flow into each others gravitational fields to make a solar system is satisfying and perfectly timed and executed. It's reminiscent of Neon Genesis Evangelion in that everyone has problems that they only tell to the mirror, and as we come to the lowest point of the series in the middle of volume six, we watch these characters finally face themselves and each other fully, and as they begin to pick up the pieces, a calming sensation fills the you as you realize they're going to be all right.

The final volume of this story is one of the most satisfying things I've ever read. As the pages yet to be read grow thin, every single thing get's paid off and tied together in a satisfying way, and the last two images of this story put me in the kind of good mood that makes you look around and go, "hell yeah" for no particular reason. The perfect execution of a story about the cruelest and kindest things we are capable of, this is a story that nearly everyone can relate to from some angle, and every angle is sympathetic and flawed in some way. This story will make you smile, it will make you cry, it will make you introspective, and most importantly, it will make you see the shape of a persons voice.

Solo Leveling review
Okay so let's start writing . Before that i would like to mention that the content has spoilers and you should read at your own risk . : )

Read many webtoons , Manhwa , Manhua and manga so far . Typically all of them have some stuff that are clichéd . But that literally is based on their definition on what u call cliché . Japanese manga's with their old dense and stupid MC . chinese with their cultivation and Koreans with the game console etc etc .

But the real thing is particularly Solo leveling is the best webtoon i read so far . Maybe I will give you a few better reasons to call it a masterpiece . The manga currently has 96 chaps ongoing as far as I'm reading already completed the novel and based on that i can say THE AUTHOR DIDN'T EVEN TOUCH THE STORY . so those who didn't read the Novel shouldn't make a complete assumption on the webtoon so far .

Our Main character started from nothing and is currently something due to the weird system he got accustomed with from the double dungeon . The origin of this system is still unknown and many people question about how pathetic this is that they didn't give the origin . I tell them to hold on to your horses cause the explanation is coming in the future chapters .As I said earlier they didn't even touch the story . so far the MC was just leveling up aling with the system and all . here is where the spoiler starts After the current jeju Island arc the MC will be called into the double dungeon once again and i tell you something that the mystery will finally unfold after that moment . at least half of it . at least you get to read some badass moments of the typical OP MC till that part comes in. So , I assure you people that those who search for story should be patient and read this thing .
Literally the MC seems strong in the latest chapters so far and trust me he was never weak . But the upcoming fights don't get too easy which is one of the specialties of the story . In most Korean stuff i see the countless wining streak of the MC . And i'm like .... why do u even need an antagonist to begin with ??? But Solo leveling went different in this case showing some shounen vibes in it .
The character development in this manga and even in the novel is quite lacking if you ask me . cause the story is completely focused on the MC . characters jump out of nowhere without much of a significant background. Most stuff don't add up if you do that tbh . But I choose to ignore the fact . At least they give us some little 2 to 3 line introduction .
As I say every manga needs an ART and seriously the art of this manga is off the charts . ig u don't need the dialogues in it if u consider the dynamic art . and the MC doesn't talk much in the first place .

In the END if you are still reading this rubbish .......... JUST GO AND READ THE MANGA.

Shingeki no Kyojin review
Spoiler spoiler SPOILER

Story: The story starts so strong, right? wow titans, huge walls, basically a lockdown, there's so many questions like why do titans exists?
All of that was just a 35-40% of the story, Isayama is just insane. This is just a really tragic story with two sides of a coin, when blood is spilled there will be more blood in the future. There's is really no villain in this story, everyone is neutral in this story because it depends on how you see the characters. This manga just goes a whole new level of storytelling.

Art: The art at the beginning it's just good but along the way Isayama really improved with the art, nowdays (131) it's just really good. When it comes to important moments you can understand everything in the panel.

Character: The character development it's just amazing, like i said before there is no villans because in the beginning you may think "Holy shit, that's a huge villain lmao" but there's always a other side to see and understand. The most important character development in this story are Eren and Reiner, the way that they understand each other with tragedy between their backs it's just really mind blowing

Enjoyment: Really great story, everything in this manga is great. There's everything like drama, suspense, horror and really good plot twists.

Overall: Is not finished so yeah, i will just say "this is a 9" no matter how this manga finishes, it's just a great story to remember.

Vagabond review
(A spoiler free review of Vagabond)

Vagabond is what I would personally call "peak fiction" as I believe that I will never see a piece of literature that will inspire and impact me as much as Vagabond.

Story 10/10

A story based on the novel "Musashi (1939)" by Eiji Yoshikawa, Vagabond is about a samurai called Takezo who goes around from place to place to fight well known samurai to become "Invisible under the sun" or "Unrivaled under the heavens"

While the plot isn't really complicated nor is it experimental, the story is still a 10, due to the sheer amount of emotion and depth that the characters feel towards the events that happen in the story, and those said events, are thought provoking enough to make you change your perspective towards certain things in life. Hell, due to the circumstances of the story, even the first 3 volumes are enough to give you an emotional attachment towards our main character. This is a fully character driven story, as the story itself is about characters who grow up and become mature and wise as the years go by.. The importance of human life, Deafness, Regret, True strength, the human condition are some of the many heavy themes that this manga has... And are one of the many reasons on why this manga feels so "real"

A rather simple plot done beautifully with its characters and themes... And of course, the art.

Art 10/10

The most notable part of Vagabond is the jaw-dropping art and art style it has.. Inoue's art is easily the best out of any manga from what I've seen, the realistic action, backgrounds, facial expressions, symbolisms, are what make Vagabond an art piece.

The realistic art style that Vagabond has is also a big reason on why it feels "real", it's like your reading a part of history. The art imitates the things in real things in real life, like forests, sword fights, sceneries, but Vagabond makes it better, every sheer detail that Inoue put in his manga, is just fascinating. The sceneries, the shadings are greatly used on certain scenes, to further express on what the characters are feeling, the symbolism and the facial expression are also amazingly used for characterization. The fights were amazing and brutal, the way Inoue painted them was very, very intricate, those fights also had great characterization. You can even see development through the way they fought.

Everything about the art of Vagabond is just... Peak.

Characters - 10/10

Vagabond's highest peak, the characters

Takezo/Musashi has one of the best, if not the best characterization I have ever seen in fiction. The masterfully written development he goes through made me cry when I looked back on Vagabond after finishing it.

As many know, Takezo or Musashi was a real person who lived back in the 1600's, from a man who only knew how to fight to a philosopher who wrote books. This manga shows on how he changed, on how he progressed from a near monster to a man full of wisdom. This philosophical intropsective journey of Musashi can make you grow, like Musashi himself, as he went with his journey, he began to question everything he believed in, be it mindset, his goal, what he actually wants. The philosophy of Vagabond... Is truly beautiful. The story of Vagabond, like I said earlier is about the progression of the characters, and how they grew up as the years went by.. Musashi isn't the only protagonist in Vagabond, in fact there are three, though the narrative is mostly directed on Musashi.

The second one is Honiden Matahachi, Musashi's childhood friend, and probably the most relatable character in Vagabond. Whom at first was a compulsive liar and a man driven by greed, he went on a path way different to his childhood friend, Musashi.

The last one is Sasaki Kojiro, Musashi's rival. Kojiro is a very unique character, as he is deaf, we don't get to see any real dialogue from him, so we can only interpret his mindset through his actions and his expressions. Due to him being deaf, his other senses are heightened making him an exceptional swordsman.

The side characters are also impeccable, due to the impact they did upon the characters and the story. Every, and I mean every character in Vagabond who's driven by the sword, had a different goal, and a different path on why they chose the sword. And that's what make this manga special amongst many others. Vagabond is a manga that is full of soul and emotion, every character felt real, heck even realer than real.

Enjoyment - 10/10

I enjoyed this manga very goddamn much, I felt a lot of emotions during my read, I cried, I laughed, I learned, and I felt amazing. My love for this manga can't be expressed by mere words, as it is my favorite manga, and my second favorite piece of fiction. This unfinished masterpiece shall remain in my heart until I die.

As said by my friend, "Vagabond is a way of life"

If you want to read a manga that can teach and personally impact you, then please, read Vagabond

Thank you if you read my review all the way.

Sarai review
For English readers, publication of Sarai ceased after the release of volume eight, so I am basing my review on what I have read thus far.

The story places our reader in the not to distant, but quite desolate future. Modern technology has been lost, and much of humanity has died out. To make matters worse, a mutation has plagued humanity and anyone reaching the age of 16 usually morphs into a hideous monster. In this desolate land, an organization of warrior maidens, are hired by those with money and will pretty much do anything that is required of them by their client ( and I literally mean, pretty much anything ). Sarai happens to be our protagonist and the story revolves around her journey as she befriends other maidens, takes on dangerous jobs , and deals with her own inner demons.

While the concept of a battling maid is not original, what gives the genre a refreshed taste is the environment that they are placed in. By giving the premises of the plot a dark feel and quite graphic scenes, the reader quickly learns that this is by far not a typical maid series. Others might argue that a maid series like Mahoromatic also has an underlying dark tone, but it is clearly a comedy series, so I like to think of Sarai as unique. The artwork itself is a little dated, anyone reading will be able to tell it has that “90’s anime” feel. It’s a little sketchy, but it has an undeniable amount of detail and very well presented. Also, if you are at all squeamish by gore, and some disturbing scenes, then this might not be a series for you.

I really grew attached to the characters presented along the way. Everyone from Sarai herself as a tough, but still carrying individual, to lesser characters that only appear in certain chapters. I think in a way it stems from the fact that since the manga has dark tones and everyone is usually suffering in some way, you tend to feel sorry for them. Even in the first volume there’s a particular character that meets her end in a terrible way and I found myself really appalled and saddened by it. Overall, it’s the characters that really did it for me.

Unfortunately, only eight volumes were published in English. Naturally, volume eight leaves you at a terrible cliffhanger. I really wish another company would release it, as it has become a personal favorite of mine. I just wanted to give my two cents on this quite unknown title and I can only hope that someday I’ll be able to walk into a Border’s and see it there, complete.

Forget-me-not review
Colour is used sparsely in manga, and whenever we do get it, it’s pretty garish and lacking all the subtlety and complexity most usually seen in western graphic novels. Chapter one of this manga rivals the best of the west; and with the combination of a Venetian landscape and young female detective pulling a fast one on a random thief, the potential for a classic is laid immediately.

Then you get to the black and white chapter two and deflate with a forlorn exhalation. The colour returns now and then throughout the manga, but always disappears leaving you disappointed with what could have been. Forget Me Not has a genuinely intriguing and original setup, a real kooky deal that is let down by art that although has quirky character, is still overall a bit dull to get through. If it maintained the colour displayed in the first chapter it would be a real hidden gem of a manga.

Mariel Imari, the plucky young detective who has inherited her father's business and skill-set, is a laidback girl which is charming to read, and her fondness for disguises is cute. The humour is dry and witty, the hijinks and situations she finds herself in are all navigable via her independent attitude and reckless pace. There is a real atmosphere to the backdrop of Venice, the manga drips with mystery and discovery at every corner.

The story has ambition but is too self-contained; the author just doesn’t have the effort or ambition to widen his horizon, choosing instead to pack it all into just seven chapters. It’s a shame. There are some great ideas here, pulling in a variety of interesting characters, a rivalry with a thief who Mariel may or may not already know, the truth behind her father and inheritance, it’s all imaginative mature stuff that feels too short-lived.

Forget Me Not doesn’t deserve to be forgotten. We can only hope Kenji Tsuruta doesn’t forget it either and realises its true potential one day.

AI GIRL review
This story at first is pretty good. I kept turning the page wondering what going to happen next. It's very explicit so if your not into the whole show a lot of naughty things then don't read. But the ending everyone....... major cliff hanger like you would never believe...... i can't believe how horrible it is.

Story:

About a girl who does whatever she can in the time she wants. this story is a real page turner made me love it. I loved the storyline at first but the writer never progressed it. As the story continued in the beginning... I think I'm in love.. it's full of the things that make the perfect manga... Forbidden love, naughty scenes that show alot. but towards the end im sure you will receive a big surprise

Art:

I'd say the art is pretty good, doesn't take much to impress me as long as it's not horrible as if it was drawn in a car that was driving on a bumpy road. i love the naughty scenes, they were drawn out very nicely :P

Character:

Each character has their very own unique personalities. I liked them. If they weren't how they were in the story I'm sure it would not be so good at first. I liked him.

Enjoyment:

I reallllly enjoyed it at first. I really did. I was like "omg im in love with this." I couldn't get enough. But the end I was like... wait wtf this can't it? WHAT HAPPEN TO THE BEAUTIFUL STORY THAT I WAS IN LOVE WITH?! but i'm pretty sure you would enjoy it at first, and if you like the type of manga with real twisted endings, you might in fact love the whole thing all together. What can I say, I'm a sucker for sweet endings.

Overall:

I wouldn't exactly recommend to watch this, but people should try to read different things even if they know it wont have the out come they would like. This manga is pretty good like i stated before until the twisted ending. if you think you might enjoy it go for it.

The Black Cat review
Black Cat is a rather confusing manga because I don't quite understand the thought process behind it.
If you want to experience one of the most famous horror writers adapted into manga format then keep looking somewhere else. This manga is bad for both a newcomer and someone who read the short story. If this is your first encounter with Poe then you'll miss out on his arguably remarkable prose and style as well as believable first person portrayal of mental illness and paranoia. This version of the story lacks a lot of inner monlogue that shaped the main character and themes of the story.
If you were going in with knowledge of the story and don't mind to see the Japanese retelling of it in a different format the it's still pretty bad. To get a picture of what this reads like imagine a 4th grader ripping off a Poe story for some Halloween writing contest but he didn't even actually read it and it's going off of a retelling some guy told him a year ago. It's cut in places where it shouldn't have been yet adds useless sex life subplot and whore sex, in the end of you asked someone who had read the short story and someone who had read the book what did they read and what was it about you'd get two wildly different answers.
If you think I'm only harping on this due to inaccuracies then you're wrong and I should've thought to type that sooner but this manga can't stand on its own either. Without convection to Poe it would just be just as bad of a one-shot, with black characters, bare bones plot and mediocre art.

Overall: read the book/10

Ama no Mura Kumo review
There are times when you hear a story concept, and you think to yourself "Wow, that sounds awesome!" Then when you see what direction the concept was taken in you are almost always disappointed. This could be due to trends in media, pandering to what the public wants, etc. This manga is another example of a cool story concept that let me down.

Here's the concept. Curses have been used by rulers and politicians since ancient times to get the leg up on their opposition. Even in the modern day, politicians call upon priests to curse their opposition and rise to power.

To me, that sounds pretty cool. A unique take on political power struggles. Maybe this will be a drama about one such priest who has a moral dilemma about if he is doing the right thing, and his eventual acceptance or refusal of his role. This isn't the case, however. Instead they take their unique concept and make it akin to Bleach. When a curse is undone, the curse leaves a person and becomes a creature that must be fought. And these curses are powered by ghosts, who become stronger depending on the number of people their curses affect. So then they fight these ghosts. Why is there fantasy shounen fighting here?

The shounen aspect really kills the concept, making it something typical instead of something new and interesting. The main male and female are shounen stereotypes, and the side character we want to know about we don't get to know about.

To be fair, the manga was obviously supposed to be longer, and given time I'm sure each character would have gotten their own stereotypical back story. The manga isn't longer though, and as such the characters and story just seem pretty typical.

The character art is the strongest point of this manga, even if the character designs themselves fall flat. The artist deserves praise for bringing more life into characters that would have been even more dull without it.

I really wanted to like this manga, as the concept seemed cool. Yet, the author opted for a more generic approach, and as such it is hard for me to recommend this. I would recommend it if you like shows like Bleach; however, since the manga is incomplete that makes me not want to recommend it even to Bleach/Shounen fans. Too bad.
