Koe no Katachi review
Koe no Katachi proved to be one of the hardest reads to put down I have ever encountered (and those reads include, among others, Tom Clancy’s Red Storm Rising and Without Remorse, Steven Pressfield’s Gates of Fire and Tolstoy’s War and Peace). On the surface, it’s one young man’s attempt at rectifying his past mistakes, if initially for rather selfish reasons. But underneath, the current of this story swirls into depths addressing bullying (and the types of people involved – victim, bully, and enabler), depression, family dysfunction, and personal redemption.

The premise is compelling enough to start reading it: 12th-grader Shōya Ishida seeks out fellow senior Shōko Nishimiya, a deaf girl he bullied during 6th grade into leaving the school he attended with the intention of trying to set right what he did wrong. This raises questions that offer interesting possibilities. Without divulging too many spoilers, we learn that Ishida, who started as the bully, eventually became the target of bullying at the hands of the same classmates he thought were entertained by his mistreatment of Nishimiya. During the next five years, Ishida withdraws from practically all participation with his classmates and spirals into a depressed state. It’s only when he attempts to apologize to Nishimiya that he learns that, contrary to all expectations, she had forgiven him and this begins to draw him out of the slough of despond in which he had become ensnared. Ishida cautiously starts a friendship with Nishimiya, but, after a dressing down from her younger sister, realizes that the change he made – apologizing to Nishimiya and learning sign-language – are only skin-deep and something bigger must change to prove he’s not just trying to assuage his own conscience. From there, Ishida actively works on building trust and friendship with Nishimiya and her sister, and starts working on becoming empathetic to those around him.

Ōima-sensei’s artwork is excellent. The use of varied angles, wide-scale images, and fine detail give a clear view of the world in which her story is set. One particular two-page spread worth mentioning is in Chapter 57, the final two pages, depicting the outdoors portion of the school festival. Ōima-sensei’s attention to detail for this one critical scene, including giving many of the surrounding characters specific details, should not be passed over quickly. Her color art is beautiful. With the sharply outlined characters and focal points against beautiful backgrounds, it’s hard not to pause and enjoy the imagery she presents to us. Given the serious tone of her story, Ōima-sensei doesn’t employ wild take style expressions, but, rather, keeping her characters expressions true-to-life.

The story itself, as I’ve said, is quite compelling. I think I ran through 18 chapters before I could put it down to go get a refill on my water glass. In fact, I wiped this whole series out in under 10 hours. (The perk of being a grad student on a non-class day. Yeah…yeah…I should be studying for that exam next week.) Ōima-sensei keeps the story focused on her primary subjects and doesn’t stray too far from them, addressing the serious emotional on the main characters that come from their struggling friendship, their friendship with their newly found friends, and the struggles that come with their family lives (particularly Shōko Nishimiya). The characters react reasonably as would be expected from their situations, including Nishimiya who starts as a quiet and timid type but eventually comes into her during the story’s latter-acts’ crisis. The supporting characters all have well-developed personalities with sold, foundational backgrounds that reasonably explain their story-present-time natures. Their presence not only provides the environment in which the two mains’ develop, but they create the seminal events that drive Ishida and Nishimiya’s characters to their fullest development.

With these thoughts in mind, I happily give this manga a 10/10 and eagerly await the anime adaptation’s arrival in the US.

Gokko review
First off, I'm not a huge fan of Romance/Shojo stuff in the first place.

So as for the story/stories, there are 4. So this review will be split into 4 parts.

Part 1:

Story - The rating i give part 1's story is 1. It's probably one of the most unbearable things I've ever seen in my life, It's absolutely ridiculous. It makes absolutely no sense how a stranger just tells this retarded girl he's her long lost brother, she doesn't believe him, BUT LET'S HIM LIVE WITH HER. It wasn't "cute", "funny" or romantic at all, it was borderline retarded.

Characters - Neither the main girl or boy were likeable, both completely bland and boring. Other than them, there weren't even any other characters. 1/10 here too.

Enjoyment - A solid 1, try harder next time?

Part 2:

Story - The rating I give part 2's story is a 6. It's basically a famous singer joined a radio station with 2 dudes she's probably going to fall in love with. And boom.. that happened. Overall it was fine until the end when the girl went full thot-mode and betrayed her boyfriend (she also betrayed him with his bestfriend lmao).

Characters - Minakami (Her first boyfriend and one of the 2 main boys) is the only likeable character. Zen is just flat out annoying and betrayed his friend. 4/10 for Minakami, the only likeable character.

Enjoyment - 5/10

Part 3, The best part:

Story - Not gonna spend too much time on this, There's a rich guy and this poor girl who's sad works as a driver for the rich kids business/company. She's always used to cheering him up when he's down since he was little, after 6 years they meet again, all grown up. And then the rest is just history .😉 8/10

Characters - All the main characters and side characters were likeable, The Male MC not so much but he also wasn't bad. The main girl was reliable, thoughtful and not a thot like the previous one. 9/10 (only problem was the main male, he was pretty annoying every here and there)

Enjoyment - 9/10

Part 4:

Story - Sort of similar to the one before it, in the sense that there's this rich kid and an average girl. So this kid is the son of the owner of a ski resort that basically controls the small town that this girl lives in. In the most silly manner the guy forces this girl to be her boyfriend (lol?). So the story is based around them going to a ski resort, a blizzard occurs so they're stuck in a little cabin alone, there were a few funny moments too. Overall mediocre. 5/10

Characters - Both were pretty boring, eith a few funny moments when they were in the cabin and that's about it. 4/10

Enjoyment - 6/10

Overall - 6

Mousugu Shinu Hito review
First things first, there are SPOILERS!!!! now then onto the story. I can say that I actually enjoyed this series it was a nice little kick back read I admit that though the ending was little predictable (given that "Riko's" body was tossed in the pit. However when it come to the "psychological" science in the series its basically just drawing out survival of the fittest and or the pressure to win the heart of the mc (which is personally a great idea). Which was different approach, but it really doesn't drive the story into the rabbit hole that it could've gone to. The ending was actually pretty nice, I wont lie there are few series that kill the mc and I'm proud that Touka pulled through with not letting the mc have immortality or in most content letting them win. There are a few complaints with the character development though I will admit, one of them being not exploring "Riku's" personality enough though, Touka explained the other female characters reasons and traits to survive that wonderfully mixed well with characters and motives. Another flaw was there could've been more depth with "Riku's" personality as far as the pressure he was in as well though he chooses himself which wasn't the worst ideas, but it definitely could've gone deeper in "Riku's" emotions. moving forward into the positive things. was the wonderful character development in "Haju" "Riku's" childhood bestfriend for the sake of well jealousy, obsession, and couple other traits that Touka was going for in making her into a true yandere (well the most of them all). Though im sure this was a 1 shot anime the pacing is pretty well until the last few of chapters. Another thing that was questionable was "Riko's" appearances, throughout the story I respect that she mainly popped in the Asylum scenes but the most aggravating part was when they just let her go TWICE after attempting to kill the characters. anyways that was my first impression of the manga and loo forward to writing more reviews.
Thank you for your time.

Love -Motto Aishite- review
There are plenty of one shot compilations on fluffy shoujo love and romance, many of which explore relationships and diverse circumstances very interestingly without resorting to stereotypes and almost all of them will leave you with a much better taste in your mouth than Love Motto Aishite.

This compilation includes both old and newer mature (read unhappy) romance stories. While all are lengthy enough to develop a premise, it's the horrid execution of the story itself that made me cringe with every panel. Your reflex after 5 or 6 pages in the first two stories will be to abandon them or it will force you to really wonder what self respecting girl would put herself through such situations! They leave almost all girls not battling extreme self esteem issues feeling enraged at the bad light the heroine is portrayed in almost every time.

Story 1: Love (You gotta LOVE the novelty of the title!)
It starts off with a high school student, Akane having split up with her boyfriend and in a nasty mood. She meets the charming and sweet Shiwa at a goukon shortly and they hit off. Standard procedure. They have sex. (PS, this is the first time they've met.) OK, revenge sex, no problem. Soon, they start seeing each other and Akane suddenly realises that Shiwa is already married to a girl and has a child. But since she's so in love with him, she "forgives" him for keeping this from her and they resume their somewhat secretive relationship which mostly involves frequenting seedy love hotels. However, she soon finds out that he's expecting another child which serves to only deepen her needyness and soon she finds herself constantly miserable about her second grade position in his life. If you're still interested in finding out what happens, I suggest you have the stomach necessary to read this one, so give it a go.

Story 2: Love, to become your number one.
Sayaka and Atsushi have been together since middle school and it's been five years since they've been exclusive now. They share a very healthy and happy relationship, which Sayaka fully expects will culminate into marriage at some point, when her dream is rudely interrupted by a girl working at the same bar as Atsushi. She somehow manages to seduce the reluctant Atsushi and the next morning Sayaka is greeted at his appartment by their naked togetherness. In a fit, she takes off, resolved to hate him for his indiscretion. But after a series of events, Atsushi manages to win her back, clearly stating that he can't break up with the homewrecker just yet because her family situation is a mess. But because Sayaka wants to hold onto her dream of a lovely life growing old together with this kind and generous and overly philanthropic fellow, she tries to understand his situation. It goes without saying that trying times follow and soon Sayaka must choose. A normal sane life without the ideal of first love graduating into marriage or a miserable existance never knowing just who is number one in Atsushi's life. It's interesting to see how she resolves this mess, and if you can see yourself reading after knowing so much, I would encourage you to do so, if only to see her grow a backbone at the end of it.

Story 3: The heart's self hate.
This is actually a pretty cute one about Nao and Haru who are very lovey dovey. Only Nao has a slight complex about her "outward growing" breasts and before they take that crucial step in their physical relationship, she wants to shape up for Haru feeling she owes him this much seeing as how much more experienced he is as compared to her. While I may argue with her reasons for choosing to improve/work on her body, Nao is by no means a weak heroine. She is constantly striving and isn't discouraged by failures, be it slow results or Haru's popularity among other girls. It has a nice resolution and is an OK enough read, though nothing spectacular with regards to comedy or romance.

Story 4: Second chance.
Another fun read about Auymi and Tetsuya who consumated their relationship an year ago on a rainy day, but haven'thad the opportunity to do it since because of strict parents and empty pockets. Aah a lover's dilemma. To do it in a public washroom or to skip lunch for two weeks and save up for the cheapest love hotel around! Haha, this one actually offers a good amount of comedy, by way of Tetuya's crazy dad, as well as realistic romance and manages to salvage an otherwise mediocre no premise story.

Overall the art is nothing to write home about. It's classified as smut, but don't read it just for that, because there is none. Not even a boob here or a wet kiss there. In both story 1 and 2, I feel the lead heroines seem to have lost their grip on reality and are OK with sharing their man with another woman, be it the "other" woman or as their mistress. I don't quite know what to think of such lead characters, and it's one person's story, so it can't be judged on its content, but the loathe and disdain you feel for the leads... it's intense and colours your entire reaction to the remainder of the story.

Although I like how both girls finally resolve to get out of a bad situation and how they handle it, they took an inordinate amount of suffering along the way to reach a conclusion that should have been evident from the start.
I wouldn't recommend this read to anyone but a delusional girlfriend who's in a bad situation herself to show her how it might turn out or a girl who's been in such compromising situations herself and appreciates the conflict personally. Other than that, die hard fans of the mangaka and genre may read story 3 and 5, but don't expect to be impressed.

(Spoilers Free) #ithink.
So far i have read a total of 6 chapters And only 3 letters stays pinpointed on my head. ~WTF~

Lets get down to Business , If you dislike heavy gore, extreme nudity and hate deaths in general, Then i would advise you to never ever read this manga. On the other hand if you enjoy them, then oh boy, you are in for a treat.

Story(6/10)
As the Synopsis shows "Distributing thrilling videos in secret! A school game that puts life and death on the line!". Along these lines i would really recommend adding the words "What","The" and "Fuck".
After laughing out loud on how cheesy it sounds i decided to venture in the unknown expecting little, But right of the bat i was intrigued by the simple plot it gives. Not only is it easy to grasp but it leaves quite a few mysteries that makes you get hooked to a extent as well as crazy Cliffhangers. Right now i cannot wait till the next chapter comes out

Art(9/10)
Oh Ma God. Don't even get me started on how good and refining the art style is. The background may not WOW you , but the design of the characters excite me if ya catch my drift :). All in all the art quality is consistent throughout the chapters .

Character(7/10)
At first i thought the main male lead was just your average student getting caught in a mess. But my god. I clearly did not expect him to have such a weird fetish. Ever heard of the phrase" Never Judge a book by its cover?" yea, well this phrase could be used on every Character. Its the Unique sudden Eureka moment when you finally see their true colors that makes you think,"Wow that's screwed up" But once you expect this the factor of amazement is gradually decreased. One thing that makes me sad is the development of many characters are utterly ignored.(or just ATM). If we could learn more about the characters then maybe we would emphasis with them a bit more. But still gotta Love the Main lead, Both female and Male :D.

Enjoyment(10/10)
I totally enjoy Anything involving Nudity, gore and horror so .... I loved it.

Overall(8/10)
From the direction this manga is heading , it is looking very promising.

Bijin Dorobou review
This was a good read. I was surprised to like it as much as I did. Basically it's about a girl with a severe self-esteem problem and goes through tedious and meticulous make overs every single morning before school in order to look fashionable. She's currently dating a hottie extraordinaire of her school and another hottie moves into her home with her. Odagiri is the guy who moves in, he's actually a rather laissez-faire guy, not seeking popularity but has his own do to his cool factor and because he's very attractive. He also happens to be the son of the head of the company the girl's father works at.

In any event, the lead female is horribly insecure and all she really seeks is someone to show interest in her as she really is. The problem with this, is that no one outside of Odagiri has seen her true self, because she's always hiding it behind lots of hair spray and a ton of make up. So you as a reader reach an impasse with the lead female character. You sympathize with her situation and some of us females empathize with the character, however you can't help but blame the lead female for being so insecure----because she never gave anyone the benefit of the doubt or consideration that they would like her for who she is.

It's rather sad and a circular situation. Luckily, Odagiri shows up and is able to destroy that vicious cycle. However, it makes one wonder if the guy she was dating before might have liked her as herself. However, sadly, we will never know.

The story was really good in my estimation and I wouldn't mind rereading it again. I'm not a fan of girls with insecurity problems, but this was really interesting in it's development and the art is delicious to say the least. As for characters, I liked the characters because, even though this was a one shot, it managed you to feel something for the two leads and that is always the primary goal of a successful mangaka. As stated I enjoyed it, so overall I give it a good.

Keep in mind it's a mediocre story, the characters are just successful and did something for me.
