JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 7: Steel Ball Run review
THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS
I will never understand the jojo fandom's constant and obsessive wanking of this part. They pretend it's the greatest thing since the invention of the wheel like hxh and one piece fans do, except they actually have fair reason sometimes (one piece selling most manga worldwide and hxh's chimera ant arc).Where do i start? The pacing is like any other jojo part, but because it's seinen it's 1.5 to twice as longer, leading to slow and long-dragging arcs that suck the enjoyment, investment, or interest out of you every fight. D4C was 15+ whole seinen chapters, imagine being a monthly reader during that time. That's 1.5 years for one fight. The Stands? Honestly some of the most unoriginal stands in the series next to the ones in part 3. ToTB is metallica, but weaker and lacks all of the cool stuff metallica has. Wired is Beach Boy crossed with the hooks episode from spongebob (which predates this manga). OLM is literally rope that makes your arm extend a couple feet. CtR is Weather Report/Heavy weather but weaker. BnRwK is killer queen but weaker. Hey Ya is the first stand seen, and even araki admits it's a joke that can only give good advice. In a Silent way is Echoes, again. Mandom works like King Crimson but in reverse, as rewinding time 6 seconds is like skipping back 6 seconds when nobody can tell the difference but you. Oh and The World is used again, but that's fair since it's the same user. As for the original stands: Ticket to Ride, Sugar Mountain Spring, and Tattoo You don't have forms. Tubular bells is a cool and unique stand, but it has no form and relies on physical objects. The stands either are their user or they're on them. Ball breaker is a cool design, but has no discernable ability at all, only punching really hard to break valentine's walls. Chocolate disco wasn't even made by araki, it was a fan-made stand requested by his daughter. So that leaves us with 2 good minor villain stands: Civil War and 20th Century Boy. Like every other jojo part the stands of the main cast (tusk, scary monsters, cream starter, d4c) are pretty good compared to the rest, so no surprise there. Overall these stands are average like 4 and 6. Part 3 stands being worst and 5 (maybe 8 if it goes well) being best. When people talk about the worst fight in jojo, they'll say it's dragon's dream or janken boy. In my opinion, that title goes to Tomb of the Boom. As i said earlier, it's metallica and bits of bastet but worse. It's one of the first stands shared between multiple people, but it doesn't help when those people are boring hill billies whose faces I cannot even recall or differentiate. The rest of the arc is johnny and gyro getting bodied bc they don't have stands, and then au speedwagon saves the day with rope in the end. This would be mediocre or average if it were shonen, but this is seinen we're talking about here. Speaking of the fights, the vast majority of them are resolved by gyro throwing his steel balls at the enemy's face. BnRwK, CtR, Chocolate disco, Scary Monsters Prof Ferdinand, Wekapipo, and mandom were all solved this way. The 4-5 Johnny fights are very beneficial and actually make him grow from his original weak self. Gyro is one of the best characters of this part for having everything that makes a character great. Backstory, Motives, Personality, Likeableness, etc. He is easily in the top 3 with bucciarati and jolyne for me. Diego is only good bc he's a hot asshole, unlike DIO who was just an asshole. Hot pants was a cool character, unfortunately her death was so insignificant nobody even knew she died until they looked it up. Johnny is an interesting jojo, but certainly not the best character in the series like people make him out to be. Like giorno he is outcharisma'd by his friend/mentor. But unlike giorno he actually takes a proactive role, speaks, and disagrees with gyro from time to time. Much like pucci and dio's friend-mentor relationship. Continuing with the characters, people wank em bc it's one of the few jojo parts where they get redemption arcs which people feel males them "unique" and "special" bc a good 1 to 2/3rds of jojo fans have never watched another anime. When in reality, you can find character redemption arcs in literally anything from steven universe to game of thrones. It doesn't make a series unique, it's a basic goddamn principle. Story: The story is like part 3 (since it's a remake) but slightly better. The protag goes on a journey across X distance with his friend(s). This time he goes on the journey bc he wants to learn from the man he just met. However his motives soon change for the corpse parts in the next 15-20 chapters. Then it becomes a battle royale for the mcguffin and each character has their own reasons. It's lime the third act of part 5, but it spans an entire jojo part (which just so happens to be the longest in the series). The Art: Great art, possibly the best of the series due to monthly deadlines. However the pacing is weakened for the art. The Setting: An American Western. Literally. Araki is such a westaboo (and most jojo fans are) it's no wonder why this is their favorite setting (even tho italy in part 5 was more accurate, researched, and fleshed out). I have a working theory that only the americans like part 7 because it's so familiar to what they know in the same way the japs love part 4. The Villain: I liked Valentine bc jojo fans told me to like him. Then I took a step-back and realized, wow he was such a dick. It baffles me how anybody can think he's the hero. His motive was to fuck over the rest of the world for the sake of America (something americans sympathize with bc they were raised that way) like every American president that's ever been in office. The only difference is you don't see the vast majority of people in real life wanking presidents like Andrew Jackson and Richard Nixon as heroes like the jojo fandom does. What makes it worse is that he raped a 14-year-old girl. This man is not a hero to america people. Get it in your thick skulls already. Like DIO in part 3, valentine sends his stand-user assassins 1 by 1 until they're all wiped out. Then he says "fuck it, i'll do it myself". Anyways, i'm getting tired of this review so... Part 7 is an average shonen that people wank bc their friends told them it was perfect. It should not be #2 on MML, it should be in the 20s/30s. And i hope the high expectations set in-place by the fandom leads to it's downfall when the anime comes out and new watchers are inevitably disappointed. Oh and btw everytime you say part 7 best X a cgi horse will be added to the questionaly "confirmed" anime. It probably might not happen since there were no part 7 or 8 manga panels in sono chi no sadame, suggesting DP would only animate the original universe. But who knows what the future holds.

Mushishi review
If you're looking for a new world of supernatural stories to immerse yourself in, Mushishi is a great pick.
Mushishi is a manga made up of separate stories, fairy tales in folk tale fashion. The stories have a common theme of the supernatural, which adhere to a unique system that the author has come up with. Due to this there are very few recurring characters other than the main character. Characters don't also get much development due to that. You get a lot mystery about the MC though, some of which is unravelled throughout the various stories. There is no real overarching plot, but the stories are great in their unique setting. Some are happy, some are sad, some bittersweet and some never spell out a definitive conclusion. It's easy to get immersed in the world of Mushi and get feelings of nostalgia. The often somber atmosphere makes it for a good evening or nighttime read. The art quality is all over the place, sometimes getting you fantastic panels with beautiful watercolour style splashes of shapes and shades, captivating you... yet at other times you see the same face, drawn poorly on different characters in multiple separate stories. That's okay though, the art always conveys what it needs to for the story to feel immersive and the great bits simply a nice bonus. I highly enjoyed Mushishi. It's not action packed nor do you get any extreme bursts of emotion. It's calm and collected and has a great moral point about observing life as it is, instead of trying to categorize everything onto a moral compass. The author has taken inspiration from a lot of basic everyday life activities, locations, animals, people. All that makes for some lovely folk tales that feels like they may as well have been written long ago.

Kusuriya no Hitorigoto: Maomao no Koukyuu Nazotoki Techou review
Imperial China/ Female Servant with BioChem Knowledge/ Detective/ Potentially Romance?
***Hidden Gem Alert, another must read!!*** (My preferred adaptation) {More detailed story/ less detailed drawing}-> content focus Minor Spoiler: Story: 10 As an avid reader about history, I can definitely guarantee you that this story has actually gone through researches before writing them out. Social hierarchy, sexual differences are portrayed truthfully as those from the old Imperial days. With the background setup, the story planner needs to have decent scientific knowledge to create scenes for the main female character (Mao Mao) to act like a Conan-ish figure. With so many elements together, each chapter (around 40p each) is able to transition smoothly and leave you wanting for more! Thus, an easy 10 for the effort from the novelist who help make his content adapt from novel into this manga. Art: 10 Without a doubt, drawings of the characters’ emotions, clothing, and ornaments are on point. Background can definitely allow the me or the readers easily recognize the details of the ancient chinese decors or buildings. This version of manga is definitely slightly “less” detailed than the other manga adaptation: yet, it was the art style differences between the two adaptations that help me to give this a solid full score. This art style of this mangaka is definitely how I wish this story is presented. With conspiracy, drama, and potential deaths presented throughout the story, this is how the style of manga should be (leaning towards serious tone and definitely less light-hearted than the other one which looks like a “Magi” ish style). HUGE 10 to the fact that this art style also slightly reminds me of “Aphorism”. Character: 10 Easily a 10 when different characters have various depths, thoughts, emotions, and goals behind what they do through the scenes and how they grow! Enjoyment: 10 I LOVE IT 10. No need for more explanation lol. Literally finish all 20 chapters in one sitting without moving. What makes me annoyed is that I have to wait for another month for new update!!! x( Overall: 10 A masterpiece of detective/doctorish female protagonist story that has the background of Imperial Chinese. This review cannot contain my love toward this manga! Moreover, this is the better adaptation (personally) ;) I am beyond grateful to have the chance to read this manga. ________________________________________________________________________________________ *For this manga, I have written two separate reviews regarding the diff between this and the other manga (https://myanimelist.net/manga/107562/Kusuriya_no_Hitorigoto). Both of which are based from the same novel, but their art style is pretty different and minor details are slightly diffferent as well. Some sections of the review will be exactly the same, but some won't. Read carefully for the contrast between these two and find out which you prefer!

Einstein no Kaibutsu review
As i write this there are 3 chapters translated to English of this manga, while in Japanese there are 3 volumes with a total of 23 chapters of about 300 pages total.
The art is incredible, really unique and so stylised, the Miyanaga Ryu has a serious affinity for fashion i swear. The story is short and slightly depressing, but it is a really nice read especially since the pages are so beautiful. The main character (Einstein) is slightly ambiguous so i post here that he is confirmed a Boy in case there is any confusion. If you can read Japanese and want to find out more about this great manga, it was published by Square Enix here: https://magazine.jp.square-enix.com/gfantasy/story/einsteinnokaibutu/

Fushigi no Kuni no Shounen Arisu review
Now, I know that when I was looking through Manga fox and found Boy Alice in Wonderland, I knew I would expect a cheap smut walk through. But I was in the mood for things like that so I decided to hop in and enjoy. Until I realise I had just hopped onto the Manga version of the Titanic!
The First Chapter seemed pretty good, and like the titantic I thought it would be nigh unsinkable. The second chapter proved the same until I got to the third. Where we strike the Iceberg. Suddenly the Character Boy Alice is kidnapped by a Erotic wolf who keeps having mood swings and telling the character that the Prince is dead and suddenly the Prince comes back and makes the Boy Alice, who was in the last chapter hating him, suddenly fall in love and be peachy about it till the wolf reveals himself to be the prince and talks about some ritual!(pant pant) And yet I continued reading, intrigued on how they can dig out of this. But then the 4 chapter flips out of it and goes to boy alice Marrying the prince as if nothing in the past 3 chapters happened. Then it switched to a mermaid setting, then to the boy alice dressing up as Nurse and giving the Prince a blowjob or something, and Alice finally turning into a slave, getting rescued by the prince, and through all this each chapter they begin with no recollection of ether of them whats so over!!!!! The thought that this mess was released professionaly amazes me. The Artwork was the only excuse for me to keep reading on as I desperatly try to get my mind off the Tits the boy alice is showing like a flag at half mast. Overall, the thing could have been quiant but it suddenly became muddled by WTF moments, no etory connection at all, and Characters who make you want to eat their brains out for saying such stupid things.

Believers review
Believers is a very frightening manga when it needs to be. Not that anything scary ever happens, but watching our characters suffer for the sake of an uncaring and manipulative source is both frustrating and heartbreaking. The manga is often graphic, but in the situations depicted so is its counterpart in reality. The premise of the piece is three members of the “Happy Smile” cult are placed on a deserted island for a purification program, attempting to reach a heightened state of existence. The members are to essential eat, sleep and meditate for their entire journey. What seems like a uplifting challenge for the members
is altered drastically as their utopia begins conflicting with the realty.
Believers is a very good manga, both in terms of quality and residual feeling it leaves with the reader. Certain inconsistencies may prevent this manga from being considered “a great”, but this psychological drama is very underrated, and at only 22 chapters is definitely worth a read (even if only to see what the fuss is about)."

Wakasugita Hakushaku Fujin review
This was frankly more interesting than I expected it to be. Something about it was darker than some of the more classic shoujo manga, especially starting off with a death in such a manner. As you guys can see, it's a one-shot, but it's a pretty long one. It's pretty well developed for being so short.
To put it simply, the story was pretty well done. Were there assaulty plot elements? Yes, but I guess I've become inured to them after delving into the shoujo genre. The rest of the plot was similar to Hapi Mari?! but a little darker and moodier. I liked it. The art was pretty. Nothing was too overdrawn and nothing looked stupid. Most everything looked at least vaguely natural. Well, other than the kiss/sex scenes... those were drawn a little oddly, but then again, since half of the characters were hid from view, I guess that can be given a pass. The characters were a little cliche, but the way they interacted felt more fresh compared to almost exact plots I've seen. Perhaps it was the expertise of the author. Prepare for the cliches still. If I had to guess, I might even say this was a fanfiction/spin-off/one-shot for Hapi Mari?! The similarities are intense to the point where they don't seem like coincidences. Overall, I actually enjoyed this, which was odd because I didn't expect to at all. I would recommend this if you: like Hapi Mari?!, like playboy tropes, like rich businessman tropes, like pretend-married tropes, like jealousy and fear of loving someone who doesn't care about you, like smut/kissing scenesish, like cliche romances I would not recommend this if you: don't like cliches, don't like Hapi Mari?!, are highly offended by the shoujo cliches of assault Have a great day everyone!

Gaba Kawa review
Gaba Kawa is the story of a young demon girl’s search for love. Rara, sent to Earth to cause nothing but mischief, finds herself falling in love with a hot human boy. So begins her wacky attempts to worm her way into Retsu Aku’s heart.
This would be your normal romantic comedy except for one very important factor: whenever demons use their powers to help humans, they lose that power. Lose enough and the demon will disappear entirely! This brings up a question that every true shojo heroine must answer for herself: Is true love worth dying for? Overall, I really liked this book. The characters were cute and entertaining. While it sometimes strayed from total believability (come on, it’s a story about a love-struck demon!) I’m glad I bought it, and I plan to check out more from Rie Takada. If not for one small problem, I’d slap 5 stars on this baby and call it a day. Since this is a one-volume series, the main question for me was: does it end well? Too often do I see short series scramble to wrap up everything in the last chapter. Unfortunately, Gaba Kawa falls victim to this. Instead of being a fitting conclusion to a funny series, it seems rushed and not very thought out. Gaba Kawa is a manga that just misses being “Great” and is instead regulated to merely “Good”. If you’re in the mood for a quick read with cute characters, this is the one for you. If you’re in the mood for something that you’ll want to read again and again… look elsewhere, my friend.
