Fruits basket is one of the best manga I have ever read. It's one of those books that will stick with you like a childhood memory. All the characters grow and develop really well.

The story starts out really happy but gets increasingly dark the more you read and you just can't put it down even if you aren't in to that kind of thing. even so every volume will make you cry on top of your laugh.

As far as the art go's it changes with the story and it grows with the story. I always am surprised whenever I look back on the first volume how different it looks and how much it got better. You can really see the emotions on the characters and it affects you. Well... It affected me anyway. When the characters were sad I was sad. When a Charicter was happy I was happy. You get the picture.
