Eden no Ori review

I enjoyed the first arc, which focused a lot on the survival of the group on the plane in a foreign land, in the wild. It had some similarities with lord of the flies, but with a larger range of people. I also appreciate the art, both the characters and the things they encounter are very nicely drawn.
However, as the manga went on I found myself enjoying it less. The story became less about the survival of a group and more about strange goings on, and human nature itself. Which while being interesting topics, they weren't particularly well-shown here. I also found some of the later characters far less believable.
However, these things would have been fine, if the ending had not been so awful. I have never been so disappointed with the ending of anything in my life. It was terrible, and very obviously rushed.
While I would have recommended Eden no Ori when I began reading it, I can understand why it lost a lot of fans as it went on, and this is probably what led to such a disappointing ending. I probably wouldn't recommend it having read it through.
