Nurarihyon no Mago is a manga about a quarter youkai but otherwise normal human kid. His grandfather is Nurarihyon, commander of youkai. Although at first he dislikes the fact that he is a youkai because they do bad things to people, he later accepts this side of him and gets more involved with the youkai world, aiming to succeed his grandfather as leader.

The story is interesting because it includes a righteous main character changing the traditional youkai code; he seeks to help humans instead of scaring them. There is also a strong sense of "nakama" which I liked.

Characters are very fun. There are many different types of youkai that appear in the story, so it's interesting for Western readers to encounter creatures they aren't familiar with.

Overall, I really enjoyed reading this manga, and I recommend it to anyone interested in supernatural themed mangas. Or if you like fighting of course.
