I came here after watching the anime, so for those wondering the story continues from chapter 16 onwards.

I've watched a decent amount of romance anime and read a few romance manga and in my opinion "My Little Monster" is special from the rest. I wouldn't say different because the setting and plot progression isn't totally unique, but special.

Liking someone isn't as simple as you think, feelings become more confusing the more you think about it, and the closer you are to someone the more complicated things will get. But going through all of that, struggling, suffering, just to love someone, I personally think that's what "My Little Monster" is all about and why it is special to me.

Also, it's a good read and definitely satisfying if you're looking for closure on the progress of Haru and Shizuku from the anime.
