Blue Lock 's review

I feel like Blue Lock hooked a lot of its readers in with the long first chapter and its outlandish ideas of what football should be. It's a different take on sports manga (at least from the ones I know of) and almost like a breath of fresh air.
Though, I'd really have to say the art is where this manga shines. The style is visually appealing when it wants to be, and jarring when called for. Lots of metaphors and visualizations that are exaggerated, but in the best way possible (if that makes sense?)
It falls a little short on characterization in my opinion, a good majority of the characters don't have much development, if any at all, but for the ones that do, I think they're done relatively well.
But the dialogue can be... a little much? I don't really care about it, but can understand why it would make someone turn away from this, so just take that part with a grain of salt.
Personally, I adore this manga, it's not too hard to keep up with and it has me rooting for every character that gets introduced. It's just, overall, a good time.
