Sono Kuchibiru, Itadakimasu review

Like many shoujo oneshots, these stories have a few cliches sprinkled in them, but I didn't find all of them to be annoying. Three of the stories started out with situations I hadn't seen before, though all of them involved unexpected love. I found some of them to be sweet and the others just all right, but nevertheless, as far as 50-page oneshots go, these aren't half bad.

The art for all of these oneshots is quite good. All the protagonists had different hair styles and clothes, backgrounds were not extremely detailed but good enough to depict carnivals, classrooms, parks, etc. Overall, it was very satisfying.

Despite their appearances, none of these characters were very special. They were all typical to normal shoujo: uncertain about love and thrown into turmoil when finding it. The girls were emotional and the guys were sensitive. They were not memorable people at all, but they did the job.

I've seen my fair share of oneshots, and I have to say that these were actually quite nice. They didn't shove cliches down my throat and they were sweet reads for a few minutes.
