Richard Woo gives many references to events occurred in Japan during past century like the case of 300 millions yens in late 60's or the sect that comitted a terrorist attack in the 90's, as well current events as president Trump or North Korea's political situation.

You will find corrupt police officers, corrupt politicians, secret societies, inmorality, violence, killers, rapist and you will ask yourself what is the law and how Kurokochi and his colleague can stop such bad people living in society.
