Kill la Kill review

Kill la Kill is my favorite anime, it was one of the first anime I watched and it marked me strongly. I, all innocent, was excited to know that there was a manga version. I found it strange that there were only 3 volumes for a relatively long story, but I started reading without fear.

After finishing, i have to say, the adaptation of Kill la Kill for manga is one of the most poorly made adaptations in all possible aspects, in art, story, even the characters seem not to be the same.

Much has been lost in this adaptation, and that is only one of the main points. The development of many characters that were great, in the manga was lost, some barely presented themselves. They cut out many important anime events and made a disgusting and dishonest cliff hanger ending.

The comedy remained ok, the art is a little cartoonish which kept the comedy minimally fun, but the main factor of Kill la Kill, its action, is very poorly drawn, and it ends up that the main course of the work is transformed into a mediocre and emotionless fight. I mean, even the relations of the characters on the manga make the fights emotionless.

But definitely the worst thing of all is the ending, which is hurried and poorly structured, which just slaps you in the face and says it will not bring the good things from Kill la Kill for whatever reason. Simply cutting all the advances, plot twists, development and incredible events that the work provides.

If you want to consume Kill la Kill and enjoy all the goods that this work has, watch the anime without looking at the manga.
