Metroid: Shounen Ou! Shorts review

Story:
Since there's no story, in regards to the comedy, things are pretty good. A lot of it is the same joke over and over told in different forms, but it's short enough to never wear thin.

Art:
Cute! It's all tiny but pretty detailed! Also, I liked how certain panels look like the game's 2D side-scrolling design. It was pretty neat and allowed for some jokes to be based strictly upon gameplay elements. Some were pretty funny this way since a player may think of that sort of joke during gameplay. Then, seeing it on the page makes it even better.

Character:
No real character but it adds a more fun side to Samus than in all other interpretations. Perhaps what I should say is a more lunatic side. She's a bit of a goofster in this 4-koma.
Any other characters are Federation officials and don't add or take away anything. There's, quite honestly, no characters to comment on in this story. This doesn't make it worse or anything, but it's evidence of the short length of the manga.

Enjoyment:
it's short. That's the saving grace. There really isn't a lot to go on with this little thing, so if it were any longer, I would be at risk of giving it a bad rating. The jokes were cute and funny but they could have gotten really boring really fast. It ended as if there wasn't anything else to say, and that's probably for the best.
