Please someone tell me why this is considered a materpiece. I have read to Chapter 90 and I still do not understand why its a masterpiece. All I can say that is has a great story, strong cast of characterse. But I mean, a masterpiece? Why?

Story 8/10:
It a great medieval story, with slight political intrigue at certain times, gory fights and a turning point that is quite interesting. That is if you have never read anything like it. The 8/10 is really if ou read it from golden age arc. If you read it from black swordsman arc i would give it a 6.5.-7. I mean cmon, we know griffits gonna be bad, we know Guts is gonna lose everything. Really? That's how you start a story? I get why letting us know about a world of demons is important, but why should we alrady know taht we lost everything? When I read the supposed turning points, none of it was a surprise. If we are really basing it purely on the turning points, its not even the best and is not the only to do it. Tower of God did it well and without spoiling anything. Even the webtoon hooky was better at it than this. To me its a decent story line that was ruined by the prologue. Additionally, even with the twist its not a masterpiece at all, a lot of moments in the story are simply to show conquest and fighting demons. Don't get me wrong, its not bad, but to me storylines that carry some repititon element isn't really a masterpiece. That's why something like Kimetsu No Yaiba to me cannot beat things like One piece, FullMetal, AoT. I really don't get it, is it really just because of the more mature themes? Tbh this doesn't hold a candle to more mature fantasy stories. Read Final Empire, Wheel of Time, Way of Kings for a change.

Characters 10/10
Characters were brilliantly done, I get how a character turns from borderline not a good guy to evil. I can see the characters acting upon their past traumas. Its great. no complaints. Unfortunately, I don't read stories especially long ones for character studies.

Enjoyment 6/10:
Tbh I'm not a big fan of the art and the repetitiveness of some of the elements. Additionally, to me the payoffs are not as great as some other manga. So I would say I did not really enjoy the ride, every single chapter was kind of a drag for me.
