I love Berserk, everything from it's characters to it's world but the reason I gave enjoyment a 9 and not a 10 is due to the black swordsman arc which I found to be a bit slower then the rest that I have read. Due to the black swordsman arc I fell off it a while bacck but recently got back into reading it. Now the Conviction and Golden Age arcs are some of my favourites in not just manga and anime but fiction as well. I believe that Griffith and Guts really stand out as amazing characters from the stellar cast throughout every arc Berserk has to offer. I also believe that Farnese is an extremely interesting character, but my personal favourite is Serpico, I have no reason for it I just love every second of him. I could go on for years about every character in Berserk but I don't want this to be extremely long. Also the art is amazing with Miura being able make so many interesting details pop out of the panel. It also has the best soundtrack out of any manga, I will avoid the 2016 anime like the plague even if I do really like the soundtrack. I highly reccomend for anyone into dark anime/manga with a focus on characters and also for anyone who loves brilliant art.
