I read this manga based on PewDiePie's recommendation and boy oh boy, it is gruesome. The story started out simple, Guts, the main protagonist was striving to survive amidst the constant warring of mercenaries. He went around fighting for different mercenary groups until he met the Band of The Falcons and that's when he went down the rabbit hole.

The art in this manga is definitely amazing. Every scene can be a poster in itself and I really like Miura's artstyle. Even in his other works such us Giganto Makhia his artstyle never failed to contrast the many intricate details in the background.

Lastly, Miura is not shy when it comes to showing all the gore and harsh reality of this universe. If you have a weak stomach, be ready to skip a few pages in "certain chapters". Anyways, Miura is on hiatus so if you're waiting for the next chapter...it's going to take a while.
