Vampire Knight review

STORY: Vampire knight had an interesting plotline to me from the very beginning, being mysterious, dark, and suspensful. As I kept reading I became more and more in love with the manga because of it's dark plotline. Secrets are revealed slowly making it suspenseful and it's different from most shojo, which I like. The only thing that can bring the grade down a little is it can get a bit confusing at times and I do have to reread somethings sometimes because of that. Story: 8/10

Art: Art is somethhing people find to be very picky over, (especially for myself) because you want to art to be nice and characters to be drawn nicely. Out of all the shojo manga's i've read, Vampire knight has the best art. Everything is drawn nicely and to precision. Art: 10/10

Character: This is where it fell a little shorter for me. All of the other characters are perfect to me except for one; Yuki. I expect a heroine to be strong, independant, and strong willed. However Yuki has always come to me as very weak and always needing to be saved. At first I thought there would be no development there, that she would always continue to need saving but further into the story I see small changes that change my mind a little about her. Especially in later chapters, I see her showing to be much stronger and that is why I've hired the original grade I would've given characters otherwise. Character 7/10

Enjoyment: I enjoy this manga to the fullest. Many people seem to think it's too confusing by I enjoy that aspect, because it makes me think. I have to analyze and calculate everything and though some people won't enjoy that, I do. I find it fun to figure everything out and it is enjoyable to watch Kaname, Zero, and Yuki's love triangle and to watch pasts reveal themselves, especially Kaname's. Enjoyment: 10/10

Overall: I recommend this manga to teenagers and young adults between the ages of thirteen and twenty-one. overall: 9/10
