Watashi ga Motete Dousunda review

Let's start with the cons since it's more fun that way! This story begins with its fair share of fatphobia. Serinuma is an overweight girl who ends up rapidly losing weight, sparking a bunch of guys to suddenly become interested in her. She gains and loses weight on a crazy scale, and this comes up a few times, the first of which has the others forcing her on a diet so she'll become "cute" again. Some of the love interests grow past this (or were never concerned with her weight in the first place) while others don't. So! It's worth noting that if this would really bother you, this may not be the manga for you.

The second thing really depends on your tastes! This isn't really a manga that takes itself seriously. It's full of all kinds of ridiculous shoujo cliches. Personally, this manga never gave me that kind of feeling where you're just like... overcome with feeling over their relationship? You know when the couple does something cute and you're just like *clutches chest* "wow I'm dying"? This wasn't that kind of manga. What it does have is a whole bunch of comedy, a lot of really fun characters, and wild ride!

The biggest plus imo is that the ending is really, really satisfying. As long as you're going into this hoping for a laugh, not expecting things to make much sense, and just... happy to have fun with it, then you might enjoy this manga c:
