What started off as a cute story about a father-daughter relationship and their daily lives somehow turned into a high school teen romance drama and ended up being a borderline incest.

Initially, when the plot was about the struggles of raising a child, their everyday problems and heartwarming relationships, it was pretty amazing. And that's where the anime ended. After the time skip, shit went down and the plot was going all around the places.
Personally, I have nothing against the story or the ending. It was okayish. But if you are gonna mix up different stuff and evolve their relationship from father-daughter into a romantic one, you have to do it properly. This was definitely not the way to go. I would have rather watched the anime and been happy about it. The manga ending left kinda a bad aftertaste.

Oh well, this manga just joined the "Authors shitting all over the story and messing everything up" list. This could have been executed better, but well, it is what it is. Time to read something else now.
