Onizuka-chan to Sawarida-kun review

Generic? Maybe? But it's a school life rom-com. In my mind, it's okay to know what you're getting. This is the type of manga you keep reaching for despite having thousands of other "masterpiece manga". I'll explain why this is the case for me.

From the start, there's one clear romance interest. The art may not be done-up, but the drawings are just so pleasing. The chapters are short and it's easy to read any where because of it's simplicity. Keep in mind, it operates like other rom-com SOL's do. It is very light on the plot, and intentionally so. You can literally read it wherever/whenever you want without having to prepare yourself mentally for a shounen battle, big drama, or what have you. It's wholesome. On top of the comedic situations, it has A TON of puns relating to the characters in the story. (Since all the characters are human/part animal.. Or plant?) The puns with these characters are witty and really fun to figure out.

The "premise" of the story is about a boy who gets urges to touch.. Animal parts? On first glance, it sounds creepy. But I personally never found this manga even remotely creepy when I read it. It's simply funny, cute, and wholesome. If you want unwind at the end of the day with an easy-to-read romcom manga, give this one a try!
