Nana to Kaoru: Pink Pure review

STORY: 1

If you're a fan of Nana to Kaoru & Nana to Kaoru: Black Label, avoid this like the plague because it was done by a different author named Momose Tamami, who's a terrible writer. It's not canon and comes in the form of two vertical four-panel "skits" or sometimes an 8-panel sketch. This is incredibly odd considering it's not what the fans would associate the name Nana to Kaoru with. There is no story.

ART: 1

It's drawn in a moe/chibi art form a lot and will start to annoy you more and more as you try to make it to the end, just hoping that it gets better at some point. It really makes you wonder who draws an S&M manga for an audience of grade schoolers? It's not exactly the most graceful way to damage a series name. I wouldn't recommend it.

CHARACTERS: 1

There's no story, thus no character development and they just feel and act differently than the original characters. It's not at all enjoyable, no matter how hard you try to like it. I wanted to see it from an openminded point of view and even when I did see it as a standalone manga, it still sucked.

ENJOYMENT: 1

I absolutely loathed this parasite to the parent series. I'm not sure who gave this sales pitch the green light but they need to be moved to a different industry.
OVERALL: 1

I would sooner watch dubbed anime than read this ever again. It's true garbage through and through. I'm only looking out for you; don't read this craptastic "manga." If you're an M though, go for it, there's ample pain in reading this nonsense.
