Well ,its been 5 years since I finished the epic showdown of mind games between l and kira. And I am really bored with those lame tricks that new “deathnote wannabe” mangas are trying to pull off…..speaking truthfully while geas was great but to me it fell short while comparing to deathnote according to those beautifull mind chess between two intellectuals .Keeping aside the adventurous types like one piece and naruto , my expectation from short spanned thriller animes or mangas are actually how much intellectual property is included in the show without being lame on the context and concept .

so far it has done really goodjob providing mind games between 2 intellectuals . long story short , fujimaru aka falcon a teenager uses his hacking skill and sharp intellect to prevent a conspiracy and deadly virus outbreak project called “ bloody Monday “ from an organization or you could say “j” , a mastermind prodigy being a great mentalist . after several chapters the story becomes a roller coster ride of out witting each other ( so far the mangaka tried his best to provide logical explanations behind all plots , meaning less plot holes ) with the appearance of “J”. both sides have their issues based on moral perspectives,ideals of their own all with the dark tone of death lurking behind every corner and trap.also the appearence of Kamishima Simon , the proverbial messiah , and Jack Daemon the sharp-shooter will be able to excite the readers.

The fun part is the exclusion of any kind of supernatural elements , you could say its more realistic type of world they play in, and one of main aspects of the manga is the use of hacking on the plot which may seem a little too much of a skill some times. its enjoyment value is close to whats in deathnote , but still deathnote would defiantly be my 1st choice of this type of genre which simply great and leagues ahead from others.
and i would really really love to see an anime adaptation from a good studio like madhouse's take on it . the already finished j-drama is not enough to convey the scale and scope of all 3 seasons of this good thriller.

Enuf said, give it a try over deathnote ost if you are bored and in a mood of “ watch the world burn “ …..
