Doctor Elise: The Royal Lady with the Lamp review

Hmmm... To start with, it kinda drags on a little from the latter half of the series, but the beginning and the end are really good.
The story isn't unique in any way, but it's decent enough to hook you in. Though there are some choices that will make you say "bruh", it is still overall good.
Oh, I like to add that Elise is barely hanging to that line of being a "Mary Sue" because there are some scenes that lack tension and scenes that are supposed to be serious and life-threatening, but it doesn't feel that way cause of her.

The characters are good for the most part. They are decent overall. The side characters aren't really good in any way, but they do their part well. There are characters that are supposed to develop, but since they were taken off the story for the main characters, their development was done off-screen. There are also a lot of one-dimensional characters since they didn't have any time to develop.

The art is great. It's one of the high points of this manwha. There are times where it's inconsistent, but when it's consistent, it's fucking great. Like, wallpaper-worthy even.

The enjoyment factor here is low. A lot of the scenes lack tension and serious moments don't appear as serious because of Elise herself. It's not like she's not a serious character. But like I said, she's a borderline "Mary Sue" which lessens the impact and tension of some of the moments.

Overall, it's a great series to binge-read just to enjoy the art. Just turn off your brain while reading this and you'll surely enjoy it.
