From the watercolor covers to the victorian style clothes.This manga has been always my favorite, creative design, and gory scene that will make even the reader cringe.Even Though this series can get a bit complex.But for the avid reader i do recommend this.It a hardcore tragic romance.At first the character development seem basic, alice seems like the bossy tsundere but after completing the series, she is just the most misunderstood, reasonable character.

All the reactions are raw and even though it a fantasy genre it lays down some hard cold truths.My Favorite quote is from elliot is:

" People who think so lightly of their own lives do not have the right to protect anyone".

Oz the main character gets in a spat with elliot because elliot basically tell oz his favorite character is complete trash.What was interesting is elliot reasoning on why self sacrificing characters are the worst.You see it all the time in movies and books of the proclaim hero that gives his life to save others.But elliot explains that way of thinking is flawed that people that give up their life to another, are willing to just throw their life away and doesn't solve anything.I always thought that was quite a interesting perspective.


Overall, what really won was this manga isn't written like any other manga, no anime troupes no overused story and plot arcs.Just meaningful ,original and poetic .

It's not written like Manga it's written like an actual book.
