DON'T READ THE LAST CHAPTER! It was the perfect shoujo manga until chapter 35, where it slowly started deteriorating. It was still alright, but then the last chapter (43, though I'd probably stop halfway through 42) absolutely destroyed everything I liked about the rest of the series.

I will write the rest of this review as if it ended with chapter 34. I absolutely LOVED this manga. It was so refreshing to read a healthy relationship for once. The lead guy is so gentle and so tender and I love how shows how much he respects his girlfriend by how he treats her. They don't let outside circumstances affect how they view each other and just treat each other like normal humans would. As some of the other reviewers mentioned, the story doesn't get bogged down with annoying "Why don't they just talk like normal human beings!" subplots. The characters actually talk through the misunderstandings that come up. There's a lot of character growth and the characters are well-developed. But mostly, I just loved getting to read a story where you actually get to watch the characters date and develop a sweet, selfless, wholesome relationship . . . Ahhhhh . . .

Seriously. Don't read the last chapter. It ruins the entire series and should have changed the genre.

P.S. The little brother was probably my favorite character. That kid was awesome!
