Is Gantz:E the same as the original? Well yes but actually no.

This story takes place in the feudal Japan era wich is a very interresting setting for the sci-fi genre of Gantz. This works in it's favor, it has a fresh feeling compared to the original manga.

The artwork for the manga is very sharp and clean, some panels made me pause just to look at the amazing artwork. It has the same feel as the original work.

The characters are lacking in this story, the MC looks like a taller version of Kei Kurono but stronger and more confident in his skills and power. Because of that the story is already filled with action from the begining but this also has me worried. In the long term this is going to affect the character development on his side. Well we can predict what kind of hardships he is going to have to get through so maybe there will be some ways to improve in that section. The side characters are actually really enjoyable and feel different.

If you liked Gantz i highly suggest you read this. It's a fun read and after 14 chapters i'm already invested in this story
