Batman: Death Mask review
For some reason this website will not let me write comic reviews, so I'll let you in a little secret: Batman Hush is fantastic. Created by Jeff Loeb and Jim Lee, Hush centers around Post-Crisis Bruce as he goes up against his most personal adversary: Thomas Elliot, the titular "Hush". Hush strikes all the right beats, highlighting Batman's deductive skills, as well as extensive fighting abilities. Hush also uses all the Batman's rouges to their fullest potential, using characters like Poison Ivy, Riddler, Joker, and even Clayface and the Killer Croc. This is simply THE BEST Batman comic of the 2000s, period. I'm honored to
give Batman Hush an amazing 10/10.

Batman: Death Mask review
My first ever Batman manga!
In this manga, a serial murderer has been cutting peoples faces off. Now Batman must solve the case while dealing with his own personel demons from his past. This is a very emotional and mysterious manga. It has a very gritty feel, from the dark art to the villain's motives. The best part is, it feels like a Batman comic. However, I would have preffered a real Batman villain, not some exclusive weirdo. And while Batman does get development, he felt...different than in the comics. Also, the ending feels rushed. If you're a Batman fan, you can do much worse. Like Gotham Knight, just better. |
