In the 27 years of his existence, Moriya Hanazono has been treated poorly due to his naturally scary looks. Working in his family's flower shop, he spends each day happily doing what he loves, regardless of what others think of him. Moriya's life begins to change, however, when he finds college student Hiyori Suzuki hiding in the van he was using to deliver flowers for her school's beauty pageant.

Providing the right advice for Hiyori's troubles, Moriya notices the young woman visiting the flower shop frequently. Unbeknownst to him, she sees something in Moriya that no one else does: that he's actually an adorable person.

"you make my heart smile" literally. My heart smiles, FMC heart smiles, MC heart smiles, my cat's heart smiles, the whole world's heart smiles.

Gosh, I haven't read such a cute, shoujo romance, in a LONG time. This manga does an amazing job capturing their relationship.
Kawaii Hito (かわいいひと) - Adorable People, is the perfect name.
I've had this on my PTR list for years, and I am finally glad I've read it now.

As you can see, MC is a scary-eyes looking guy, who is super sweet and works as a florist in his family owned shop. He meets a cute college student while delivering flowers and she falls in love with his kindness.
Whole basis of this manga is their life. Meeting family, friends, and dates together, some drama sprinkled here and there, nothing overinflated though. Things get sorted out, they communicate with each other their needs, there's no beating around the bush at all.

Story 8: Typical shoujo, starts every chapter explaining the backstory (scary face MC who runs a flowershop but has a cute gf), every chapter can be a standalone or one shot. Very simple and cute, slice of life, day to day interactions. You can really tell that they loved each other. Their relationship pacing is expressed nicely, from when they got together to their intimacy.

Art 9: Great art, no complaints

Character 10: Just want to say that MC is a chad. Guy has no socializing background, no media/trend following, a few friends, scary face, but he just KNOWS what to do in their relationship. It's like boyfriend natural instinct kicked in. FMC is cute, fluffy, has a personality though when she interacts with other characters.

Enjoyment 10: I would def read again and again and again. No complicated love triangles, no NTR, no mishaps, just purepure romance. I wish the ending was a bit different though.

This story starts with our hero working on a flower shop with his mom. A 27 year old man with 0 experience in romance. The reason being his scary ass face. His eyes and a combination of his face and hair has led to him having a scary appearance. So imagine his surprise when a repeat customer confesses to him. A 20 year old college student. Finding her adorable and amazing, they both start a relationship together.

Now i really adored this series. The main character and main heroine are both just adorkable love birds and it was so endearing to watch them. They were both like balls of light. Shining everywhere they go. I do love me some juicy drama but this series shows that you don't need pointless drama or love triangles to make a series interesting and enjoyable.

The characters romantic interactions especially were just amazing. They were cute, they were cuddly and the author had balls to not extend every little thing. You had antisocial adults acting like antisocial adults, rather than children. I don't want to say this was like a breath of fresh air or something because series like these exist everywhere. But the main difference is this series doesn't try to go for something big. It works with what it has and it does it so well.

This is also one of the few series that deserves the romcom genere. Because this one is actually funny. One of the few romcoms that made me legitimately laugh like Kenneth Copeland after the election. Really funny series.

The only real criticism i have of this series, is the introduction of the side characters. Both of them were pretty annoying at first. You'll know who they are. They were pretty generic in an annoying way. But they really do grow on you. So i'm glad the author can make fun characters while making their personality somewhat annoying. It just goes to show that making decent characters goes a long way. Though i did not like them at first im still glad the author introduced them. Both of them were pretty enjoyable to watch.

I don't really have anything else to say about this. This series understands exactly what its doing and does it with pleasure. The author knows what the audience wants and gives it to us full force. What else can i say except that you are missing out on this series.

TLDR: My parents told me to stop smiling like a fucking weirdo. Thats how fluffy this series is. It may not be as good as knack but its still something really special. Something i believe everyone should check out at least once. When you have a formula this good just give us more. 7/10

Okay, so before I start this review just understand one thing about me: I love vanilla romance stories. They are my bread and butter. I don't need any sort of NTR sprinkles or any love triangle syrup on my vanilla ice cream cone. That is just my personal preference, but because of those preferences I found this manga to be amazing. So do take my review with a grain of salt as I am extremely biased because of my love for vanilla.

Story- 9
Okay, so in my opinion a simple story is the best type of story. The main gist of it is that there is a evil looking guy (who is actually incredibly kind like most of these tropes) working at a flower shop and has a "fateful encounter" with a young female college student who falls for his kindness. Typical right? There isn't anything really special, no aliens to kill the girl, no douche bags to NTR her, no third party lover who loves to block them (as of yet do realize that I am at chapter 4 because it's taking a while for the translators to release more of the chapters). There isn't really anything to special to this story, but it was written so well and executed so wonderfully that you can't help but to smile at certain times because of one reason or the next.

Art- 8
Now the art is pretty cut and dry, again nothing special much like the story. The characters are drawn well, everything looks nice and clean, nothing to really point out. Although I can tell you that each page seems to have all of your focus on the characters, which is great! I can't even tell you what the backgrounds look like because of that direction of focus.

Character- 10
Wow, just wow, these characters are friggin amazing!!! The girl isn't a typical shoujo pushover, and the guy is a bit feminine but that's alright because that's what his character is. I haven't actually found a character I truly disliked in this entire manga (all four chapters that is). Are there guys trying to stop the main characters love? Yup. Is it going well for them? Nope. But do I hate them? Not really. Maybe because they are dealt with in such a way that it would be hard for them to come back evil? Maybe? Who knows, all I know is that I love these characters! This manga is an oasis of rationality for me, sheltering me from all of the typical shoujo cliches like childhood friends and misunderstandings (as of yet).

Enjoyment- 10
The only reason I wrote this review is the that I enjoyed it so much I wanted others to join in on this wonderful feeling of happiness that is brought on by this manga.

Overall- 10
Now this is just my personal preference, mostly in part due to my love of these characters and this story, but I think this manga is a 10, easily. Is it pretty dry? Yeeeeaaahh, if I'm going to be honest, it is. There isn't any real drama (as of yet) and there isn't any major plot points. Progression is going well for the main characters, and there hasn't been anything that would truly hinder it. These aren't moronic characters (as of yet) so there's no drama stemming from mentally impaired misunderstandings. This is a pretty dry vanilla manga. But does that mean it's bad? Not at all!

So in summary, the art is pretty good, the story is a tad dry but still great, the characters are outstanding, and I've re-read every single chapter each time that a new chapter is added (of course, that sounds amazing but it isn't since there are only four chapters out right now). You'll love this manga too if you enjoy vanilla!
