Ore no Himegutsu wo Haitekure review
Did I learn anything from reading this? Yea I learnt that there is a scale of how serious your fetish can be and that is it. Am I a better person now, probably not. So what is the purpose of this manga because it doesn't deal with the seriousness of having a fetish and how it ruins your life. It doesn't deal with how divorce can affect a person. And it doesn't focus heavily on the romance side either. (Atleast it has more romance than any normal shounen). This manga could've dealt with certain themes due to the MC's circumstances but it doesn't. The story
is Mediocre, just a guy who stopped making women's shoes years ago and because of a certain school girl, he starts his passion again. Seen this story played out over and over and it ended the way I predicted, at least there was no drama. The art is good and clearly distinguishes itself as a seinen manga. The characters have depth to them despite how short the story is and there is a fair bit of character development.
There is no reason for me to recommend this, but it didn't bore me reading it for some reason. |

This is a story all about how a guy with a foot fetish starting making shoes for ladies in his neighborhood.....again.
Story was actually pretty good with some decent MC growth and funny situations. You even get to learn a bit about feet. Which, is cool I guess. Story got axed in the most rushed fashion you can imagine, even Jason Vorhees would be impressed. But up till that point it's pretty decent with some conflicts and challenges for our MC. Characters are drawn well and actually look different from one another (something I appreciate more and more as some characters in manga now are looking too similar) and while the locations the story takes place in are limited you get a nice feel for it. Good quick read, give it a look but know it was axed. |
