Akutsu Masatora is a demon who has infiltrated a high school in the human world. His goal is to find candidates to aid Hell in the fight against their natural enemies, the angels of Heaven. Assigned a seat next to Lily Amane, another student who transferred here not long ago, Akutsu falls prey to her beauty and decides to recruit her to his cause.

But there's more to Lily than meets the eye, and Akutsu not only finds himself an accomplice to one of the very enemies he is supposed to defeat, but he also might have developed feelings for her.

Super recommended! ★★★★★

Story - 7
Can a demon and an angel fall in love with each other?
The story focuses on the mortal enemies Akutsu and Amane. Each other sent to earth with their respective mission will start working together, overcoming adversities and growing a step closer to each other. The manga's out of nowhere comedy is brilliant, the roles are reversed and it seems as if the angel is the real demon here. Lots of gags, self awareness and over the top comedic situations that flow amazingly with the story! There's also some fighting as well.

Art - 9
You can tell the author spends a lot of time to make drawings this beautiful. Amane is the cutest I've ever seen. There are also gross and realistic comedic expressions, full pages of ahegao and even SpongeBob!. A great balance between black and white is used to show happy or dark emotions and visual comedy is used to give this manga its notorious uniqueness.

Characters - 8
What really brings all of this manga's good points together are the interactions between characters. Amane has a strong pride that impedes her from being honest with her feelings but also as a soft and shy side to her, after all she's just a young girl.
Akutsu's dullness is troubled with the morals of being a demon helping an angel. He will show that his race are not the monsters books says. Unexpected to everyone he'ss a noble and gentle demon but also a young man finding himself and possibly encountering love.

Enjoyment - 10
This manga is over the top after over the top comedy and a roller coaster of emotions. The events around the characters are made with two things in mind, to entertain and to progress the story. Super entertaining from chapter 1 to 48 so far.

Overall - 8
This manga is hard to disappoint. It exists to give the reader a good time.
If you found this page and this review then it's for a reason. Go give it a shot right now!

I went into this manga expecting to drop it if the very first chapter didn't interest me in the slightest... and yeah, I finally caught up to the more recent chapter (which is chapter 45 at the moment) and I gotta say this is how the f**k is this series so underrated and underscored? It's criminal to see that the score for this is an underwhelming 7.5... I bet that turned away so many heads from this hidden gem.

Story: (8)Sometimes you forget that there's an ongoing story in the beginning because it's mostly the two characters introducing themselves into society, which isn't too bad because that's what this series does best is hit it home with its comedy! As the series progresses near the middle, the story starts to go from an introduction to learning about the series lore a bit more like we get to see more angels and demons which is honestly something I look forward to knowing a lot more. The only complaint is that the romance can be repetitive, "I love him but he's a demon" "I love her but she's an angel" can be really annoying at times... but trust me when I say read this for the slapstick which is honestly top tier and keep on reading for the more interesting aspects of the series.

Art (9): It's near perfection, I feel bad for not giving it a 10 but after seeing Murata's art for OPM it's just hard to give anything else that type of score. 9 is still good, you can convey the emotions that is going through the character's expressions and situations and a lot of the art itself makes me laugh also so that's just a bonus!

Characters (9): Just the two main characters alone deserve this rating, I can give it a 10 but you probably seen these two types of characters before in different mangas but the thing is that their chemistry is just so strong! However I can't say too much about the other members of the main cast, which are usually one noted personalities but I don't hate them, whenever they do appear you don't really get to know much about them but they're all lovable and I wish we get to see a lot more of them in the future.

Enjoyment (10): How the hell did it take me so long to find this series, this is the manga I have been looking for! It's really funny, has top tier romance, has action, has tense scenes, and it just keeps going! This keeps me wanting to keep reading and I'm really looking forward to the next chapter.

Overall (9): Stop it, don't deny this manga a chance like I was about to do earlier... I can't guarantee that this will be everyone's favorite manga like it was for me, but I can say a solid majority of you guys will enjoy it just like I did. It deserves an anime with all it has going for it, if the shit storm known as Love Tyrant can get a crappy adaption, so can this <3!

I'm sorry if this is still poorly typed but keep in mind I literally binge all 45 chapters in one day one hour before I typed this review and it was 4 A.M. Right now I'm at chapter 47 as I'm slightly editing this now... that's my only complaint with this series is the fact that it releases monthly.

This Manga started all over the place. Early Chapter Wonkyness is strong here. But after it gets going it's really funny for an Ecchi series.

Story:

The story starts with a Demon who needs to go to earth for some task (finding a human who is fit to lead the Demon Army ?). He meets a girl, who he seems fit for the job for some reason after talking to her for 5 seconds.

She turns out to be an Angel and utterly crushes him and puts a collar on him to controll him.

He also pulls a Prank on a teacher, behaviour that will never seen again in the series.

But the collar will be used like twice after that and that's it, he stil has it... so yeah. As the story goes on it gets kinda better, but the first chapters really are all over the place. I'll give it 6/10 for story and hope it gets better.

Art:

The Art is what saves this. I don'T know why, but especially Lily Amane has Panels that are extremely detailed, in every form of Emotion. It stil has poorly drawn gag panels as well. 8/10

Character:

We have the Demon who is actually nice and the Angel who is introduced to be cruel and sadistic but turns out to be misunderstood. The characters feel a little inconsistent at times, but if you take it the way that they were faking in the first chapters or just flat ignore the first 5 chapters they are fine. 7/10

For me personally Lily Amane is a great character that I want to know more about. People will want to protect her when she cries and will be afraid when she's angry. If this gets a well made Anime you'd see her in ALL the reaction memes, I guess.

If you look up the Author, you'll notice he made some 18+ content where he used the same models for the Main girls. It's fine tho, they are well designed.

Enjoyment:

8/10. Well Drawn Ecchi, I tend to rate Ecchis better than other stories because they get a lot of credit for giving an actual story. I might be biased here.

Overall I give this a 7/10 - It's really lacking in the story department, but it was going better in the last few chapters. If this continues I'll up the rating.
