RustBlaster review
ok so i read rustblaster because i saw it listed and like the cover(i simply love vampires).let me tell you that i dont regret it, i got hook from the begining the only dow side was how short it was. When i discover there were only six chapters i didnt though that i was gonna like it this much, a lot of the mangas that are this short dont really let you relate with the characters but this ones different, the plot was ok but i didnt really like the ending i think they could have done better, i keep founding holes in the plot,
never the less it was totally worth my time...
hope they make more! |
RustBlaster review
Story: The plot in the manga was only semi-developed, I feel. There were a lot of things mentioned, but nothing really happened. For the first part of the manga, you KNEW crap was going down, but the main cast didn’t do much about it. There were also characters introduced in early chapters, but readers didn’t see any significance for them until the last few chapters. I thought that was a little irritating. Rust Blaster is also classified as a Shounen-ai, but it barely qualifies. There aren’t any actual scenes, unless you’re into the vampire eroticism.
I must say that the ideas are brimming with creativity, though. As expected from the creator of Kuroshitsuji. And the main character was very versatile and able to move the plot along nicely. For the 6 chapters, I think the plot moved too quickly and the ending was a more than a little confusing. I think this manga should’ve had one more book at least. The ending implied a lot, and I think it should’ve been elaborated more. But that originality, maaann…. Art: In case you couldn’t infer from my earlier statement, Rust Blaster is by the same person that made Kuroshitsuji. I think that, even if I didn’t tell you that, you would’ve been able to figure it out by the style. Similarities are clearly evident between the two mangas. The gothic character design and feel of the manga are wonderful, something only Yana Toboso could create. If nothing else, this manga is definitely a load of eye candy. Characters: The characters were unique, in both design and personality. I would’ve liked to see more of a background on all of them, though, I think the manga would’ve had more of an impact then. Other than that, I can’t really find anything wrong with the characters. They went well together and made for a good cast. Overall, Rust Blaster is a good, quick read. If you liked Kuroshitsuji and want to see more of Toboso’s work, then you should read this. The messages in between panels are very poetic and it’s just something nice to read. I liked it and recommend it. |
RustBlaster review
I first found this manga because I was looking up for more work from this author and I could not stop reading it! I really love the artwork and the main characters were very well done. I felt the main characters were likable and the story idea was pretty interesting. I'm a fan of vampire manga's but this ones story really interested me! Although it was very fast, I felt it still enjoyable and will continue to re read this! If you like the art style and the darker vampire story lines, you'll enjoy this manga!

RustBlaster review
This manga was amazing in my opinion. I mean like, I almost cried at the end lol. It was wonderful, but I'm curious, because I don't know if the main character Aldred came back at the end, and that's why Kei stood up crying and ran up to him. All in all it was a great manga made by the person who made the manga and anime Black Butler. I don't like the fact that it includes demons... but hey, the manga was wonderful.
I just really wish the manga had a 2nd volume or a part two T_T great manga. Everyone who likes Vampires, read it! X3 Also... watch Clannad, THEN Clannad After Story. Outstanding anime :3 |
RustBlaster review
Honestly, I love most vampire stories, but most of them seemed to be skewed more toward undeserving fan service or just complete disregard any original work about vampires. I'm open, though, to new ideas about strengths, weaknesses, and developing power(s).
When I first started reading, I was impressed and entertained by the artwork and the main male character's personality and style. The rest of the characters seemed like they were pulled out of a textbook for typical manga characters, nothing really special. The concept for the story is a weak one, but the difference between this and so many other vampire/magic manga is how the mangaka went about using the elements and telling the story. She seemed to realize just how much potential that the characters, coupled with the story concept, gave her. By the end of this manga, I was entranced. I wish that there was more. |
RustBlaster review
Rust Blaster is a vampire story, but a little bit different from others. The story begins with a happy school scene, but everything goes very different from what you'd expected. That's the point of this manga. It's disappointing the manga is only about 6 chapters. But, the mangaka actually connected story very well. When you read the story, you'll laugh, you'll get angry, sometimes be excited, and be sad.
Be sure to read 6 chapters at once. |
