YURI DANSHI

~ YURI~ (百合) is also known as the japanese term for the lily flower species.But Yuri(百合) is also a term used greatly to describe the intimate relationships between girls.

This one manga series, Yuri Danshi, (which translates roughly as Yuri Boy), is a comedic and truly unique manga running in Comic YuriHime.

The story about a Yuri fanboy and his everyday struggles & fantasies about the Yuri culture resonate well with the problems many male Yuri fans run into at some point in Yuri engulfment. The story shifts from different views of different characters who are related to the yuri genre in some way (like having knowledge of it or being another yuri fan), and also takes some comedic tones as well (the serious-looking art helps bring out the ridiculous humor)!


Not a bad read at all, in fact, I found it quite a nice read to calm my own yuri fantasies down abit. Too bad the manga remains only in Japanese even up till now in 2014. However, Yuri Danshi is one of ComicYuriHime's most popular series now and minor news/rumor has shown that Yuri Danshi may very well be greenlit for an animation series~

If an animation really does come up sometime soon, it wouldn't be a stretch to say that this new year has started to cultivate the growth of the yuri-genre related culture into a higher stage~
