I love this manga. It has a fair amount of tropes and the premise is hamfisted in the beginning, but it really mirrors the struggle of following your passion. Maybe I'm reading this at just the right time in my life, but if you're someone who struggles with the choice to either follow a creative path or take the safer route, this will hit all your buttons.

The characters are flawed, fun, and refreshing. The Rock ghosts feel very unique and there are a lot of call backs to people to love their music/personalities.

Art really surprises me by being out of this world gorgeous when it needs to while normally keeping a very realistic style.

The story feels like it should be predictable, but this manga isn't about the power of friendship or the love of music carrying you through to legendary stardom status. This really breaks down its characters with the hard realities of working hard even when everything, including yourself, is against you. it's the kind of life that kills you by 27, and it feels like it.
