Nijigahara Holograph review

It is crazy to think that a story could be so complex, well condensed and filled in such a small number of chapters. A functional experimental use with a non-linear and disconnected narrative, but with intertwining ties.

And it's also complicated to talk about this manga since it's something you experience, and this type of experience varies from reader to reader, some welcome this type of narrative experimentalism in a good way and chase its meaning by reading it once, twice, three times. Others understand nothing, preach the idea that it has no meaning and goes on with life. Because I see Nijigahara as something unique, drawn between the lines to be read several times and with more layers being discovered with each reading, I say this having read the manga about 2/3 times.

A very strong point is the trauma that the events cause, having the condemnation of the past for one, the obsession and mental deconstruction for the past for the other, the event has a strong effect on the entire universe presented by the manga, and this is very well represented . There is a great mature and raw portrayal of themes like abuse, depression and trauma.

Nijigahara Holograph is perfect for those looking for a journey to decipher an ambiguous meaning in such a work. For my part, I was rewarded with a plot well worked between the lines with mastery in all its requirements.
