Strike Witches:The Sky that Connects Us is not a manga full of character development, one coherent story, brand new characters, or anything, but it was a great read.

There's not really much plot since all the stories are just in between stories about what each member of the Strike Witches did between seasons 1 and 2 of the anime. It's really clear that that is what, the author wanted to write. You can tell that it's not a stand alone work.

Along with the story, the characters are not stand alone either. There's no big character introductions here so if didn't like them before or are not too familiar with them, your opinion probably won't change after reading this manga. I still love the cast though so I love the character interactions here.

The art is still great just like in other Strike Witches manga. It actually might be a step up from some of them since there's not as many characters and such being featured all at once. The pages seemed a less cluttered.

It's safe to say that I loved reading this volume and was very happy with the flow of the stories. Each side story was very entertaining. I personally like the Karlsland Ghost and the Eila and Sanya ones the best. If you're a fan of the series, I'd really recommend reading this since you'll probably enjoy the side stories. If you only kind of like the anime, skip over this manga volume.
