Anata ni Hana wo Sasagemashou is a good supernatural romance that josei readers will enjoy, it delivers a good story in a setting of mystery and suspense with a good looking cast of characters. If you have ever read any of this mangaka's works, this is in the same genre supernatural josei romance but with a more traditional Japanese theme and I thought the story itself was interesting with a better plot.

Ohmi draws really handsome sexy men ( and I do mean men not boys ) but this story has less smut than her other stories and more story while still being a romance, and the smut is handled in a very classy way, it’s romantic. I like her art style. Each of her guys looks different too.

The two main characters are childhood friends who are engaged by their parents . Seri does not want to go along with it and doesn’t understand why he is passively going along with the parents’ plans. I liked the female heroine in this one better than the ones in this writers other series too. She is a josei heroine with a good character and I liked her because she was not some crying weak helpless thing, she seems a bit abrasive in the first couple of chapters to the male mc, but then as she realizes the dark stuff that is behind his actions, she becomes much stronger but nicer and they get along better as a team. Yuzuki, the male mc seems very passive at first and acts sort of weak but grows more decisive. And thankfully he is not a jerk or a bad boy.

This story stands up as a good, fresh example of this mangaka’s work. I liked it better than Midnight Secretary and it is not as long as the Kindan series. So even if you didn’t like Midnight Secretary you might like this one a lot better as there are no vampires or werewolves and no arrogant jerk of a guy, but there is still a lot of supernatural stuff and there is more mystery to this one.

I liked that it thankfully steered clear of a lot of josei pitfalls and stereotypes, there is no cheating or office romances – instead we have pesky ancestors which is a lot more fun.
There is none of the josei criticisms that would drive readers who are leary of the genre away either, so guys don’t stay away from it cause of the tag.

If you like the whole childhood friends becoming lovers thing this is a good story for you too.
The story is the perfect length for the plot neither too short nor too long. The way the plot concludes is not stereotypical either. Also I don’t base stories on their endings but this one actually has a very well done ending that is different, well written and won’t leave you hanging. I would rate it 8.5 or between 8 and 9. If you are looking for a nice take on a supernatural theme give it a read.
