Shuumatsu no Tenki review

tl;dr: A manga that's all sorts of nonsense but considering it’s a pretty short dose of dumb I found it surprisingly enjoyable.

This is the type of story where it's clear even the author has no idea where it's going and just sort of goes with the flow, and the story ends up completely crazy and random, but it also works somehow to a degree. Starting out it sort of appears that this may be the sort of manga that's trying to be deep with some sort of social commentary, but that quickly goes out the window. The plot changes up completely totally randomly. Characters are thrown in and out at a whim, and their personalities too change at a whim, ultimately resulting in most everyone that matters being a pretty awful character, especially the main character, though in a way it keeps things interesting as the work itself doesn't really seem to judge them for being terrible people. The ending too is the type of things that sound incredibly dumb, but it feels consistent with the series and is amusing enough that I was satisfied with it. The art is also only okay. This manga certainly isn't good by any objective measure, but I still sort of liked it.

Note: The fact that I enjoyed this may have been influences by the fact that I was sick and taking various medications at the time I read this.
