Beastars review

I swear I start taking notice of this manga due to the anime's debut, as well as Louis-Legosi interactions XD. And I have to say I'm not regretting diving into the story.

Normally, it usually took me a while to get into a story with the common school and slice of life main theme, but this series took me in quite fast. I guess, the charm would be in the animal theme. I mean, if you had to compare to Zootopia, Beastars were stories centred on animals who displayed human-like lifestyle while still retaining the qualities of what makes them animals while Zootopia was the opposite. Yet, that's what Beastars felt so endearing. And I love how the characters' personalities seemed so genuine. That besides the fact that I just love the focus on Legosi as well as the relationship he has with Louis, Haru and the other animals around him.

That said, I really love the sense of humour in Beastars, as well as the unexpected twists and turns that happened throughout the manga so far. I also like how the many relationships (major or minor) in the were written very naturally. Like it wasn't put on for the sake of laughs or fanservice, but well thought to give the characters some personality and make them genuine. I just love how the relationship issues were dealt in the manga.
