A fantastic contemporary adaptation of a classic Chinese story.
The story and characters are faithful - you can't go wrong with sticking to the source. As usual, it starts out with Wukong's origins before meeting Tang Seng (aka. Tripitaka or Tang Sanzang) and joining the monk's quest.
The art work is beautiful - full colour, dynamic, exciting, and expressive. Each page is worth staring at for a good minute just admiring the inking and linework.
If you are familiar with Journey to the West, this will be a joyful and nostalgic read. If you're not familiar, this is a great way to be introduced to it.
