Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou review
Ooh boy. There are guilty pleasures. Like eating a whole bucket of KFC original recipe by yourself.

Then there's the deep fried, bacon wrapped, meat stuffed, chocolate sauce covered excess decadence of something that exceeds guilty pleasures. It's sinfully bad in a good way.

That's how I feel about MonMusu. Once upon a time, I too, stood upon the moral high ground turning my nose up at the those gorging themselves upon the debauchery of monster girl harem comedy. But a thought took root in my mind- "Give it a go."

And since I thought that obviously there would be no harm, and I would immediately see I was right about the quality of the material, I opened up the first chapter.

And here I am. Neck deep in the stuff that repulses society most, and loving every minute of it.

Now, Monster Musume is a simple manga. There are girls who are monsters, increasing in number as the story progresses, all competing in the Waifu Bowl where the winner gets to ride the MC's dick. Standard stuff. This premise means that the manga must stand on the quality of its comedy, characters, and setting.

And on those three previously stated counts, it passes with flying colors. It's consistently funny, with characters that don't feel boring. Things are kept spicy, and there's never a point where the story feels like it drags its feet overly long.

If you're not sure whether to read this or not, read it. That's my opinion as a professional degenerate.

Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou review
Best cock tease I've ever laid witness to. Would read again.

I went into this wanting pleasurable monster girl shenanigans and it gave it to me in droves. Like, I wasn't really expecting to actually fall in love with this manga, I really wasn't. I expected to like it; good for relaxing time if you catch my drift, but it ended up hooking me in with it's monster like claws, and I honestly was too stunned by my euphoria to notice the blood leaking from my back where it hooked me.

I suppose the blood would be all the mortal shame I've shed after realizing my taste is now the worst, utterly the worst. But I don't care, cause shame be damned if this wasn't a good ride, and one I look forward to continue with each new chapter.

To be a bit critical, what people will enjoy the most in this is the characters, each one being kinda trope-y, but in a good way, as in they come off as fun and carry you along into the world they inhabit.

And tits, can't forget tits, and ass for those who like ass. Unfortunately there is no donkey monster girls yet, so the ass-y-ness of it all only goes so far.

Though, cause this isn't really trying to compel you in any way, and is more for those who enjoy silly comedy, the story is rather lackluster. Not bad, it's good in the sense it carries the characters along, and puts them in situations beyond entertaining, it's just not going to make you feel emotions in your heart. Your dick will do just fine, or clit for those who have those.

This gets my seal of approval for what it's worth. Certified fresh from the internet's number one thot patroller.

Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou review
I have read all available manga at the point of writing this (vol 14). Its a high ecchi harem story with monster girls. First without spoilers it has a semi weak story as its mostly set up these characters meeting and interacting with one another, which is the main enjoyment is the humor. It doesn't try to be much more then a funny manga with crazy character designs but at times does bring up some interesting stuff like immigration, mortality, and other subjects with these characters with humor (see spoilers for examples).

CONS
The characters personalities are simple at first in it but can be seen the writer probably took constructive criticism on that matter and tried to fix it with a decent amount of success once you get past where the anime and OVA's end as they get more aspects start to shine through (the anime covers up to vol 6 only). The story is simply to prove a human can have a functional romantic relationship (and later marriage) by using the main character as "test study" but i found that the simple fact all of these characters living together without the characters murdering each other or fighting tooth, nail, hoof, and claw when living with a male who is a common romantic interest proof enough that a full integration of all the races can be done, which should be a more important matter. Also i got really annoyed with the laws saying humans cant ever harm a non human or vice versa regardless of self defense or otherwise which makes no sense at all. Heck it even got in the way of cops dealing with a issue with Orcs in a scene as they "were not allowed to use force" when the orcs have hostages and firearms so makes no sense.

PROS
This series is very fun to read just on seeing the next interesting character or race to come up and the most fun part for me is the tons of nods and references to everything from American horror films like Final Destination to video games to Godzilla and kaiju battles to George A Romero fans and the feels towards running style zombies as one character said "fast zombies are okay, but give me a proper shambling horde any day!"." Those of course are the pros beyond the fun art and funny ecchi scenes. The main can be a pro or con depending on why you look at this as hes simple but clearly a honest and likable guy along with him clearly liking all of them (hes in essence a honest and kind guy while having no problem looking at the girls "assets" sometimes) so works well as a character any male reader can imagine putting themselves in his position in.

SPECIFIC SCENES I WISH TO MENTION (Partial spoilers ahead)
There's a few scenes that it does something smart in that i wish to bring up to show this is not just silly ecchi fan service and humor even though a lot of it kinda is. The most common of them being about immigration of these races and even of a few of them should be considered even sentient for the races like slimes as they technically don't have a brain and one of the main cast is one. Also a very specific scene with a character named Lala who she always talks like shes the grim reaper herself as shes a Dullahan (in essence a headless horseman style being) and was talking as such in a hospital around a group of kids staying there which lead to a very somber moment for her as a character as one of them was dying. This scene stands out as the best scene in the entire manga hands down so i wont spoil it.

So ya its fun, enjoyable but nowhere near above any kind of criticism even though its one of the most fun manga i have read

Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou review
"ZOUNDS!"

Harem is a typical genre being overused in Japan since the start. To ether cater to the male, and sometimes female demographic. All of the shows/manga that has been produced as a harem have always been a huge hit, or a massive failing miss. Monster Musume is somewhere in between, but it tilts towards the good side more. Here's why.

This series is straight up bizarre. There is a bevy of sexy women who are half animals. And their cup sizes range from A, all the way to P, and beyond (Whoa, lots of bazonkers!). So any ecchi fan will be satisfied while reading this manga. A really strange thing about this manga series is that it actually can teach about how animals use their bodies. Like at some point a factoid gets weirdly shot out like "Male seahorses are usually the ones to give birth", etc. If this ever gets to be a dubbed anime, then National Geographic should consider showing it on their cable channel for more *research*.

Thorns are spread out on the road for this manga series (Literally, and figuratively). One thorn that really takes a chunk out of it is that sometimes the author seems to be forgetting what kind of dialogue should Cerea have. Sometimes she sounds like a normal woman, then other times she sounds like a complete Norse mythology Goddess. Shouting "HALT!", "THY!", and for comedy reasons "Zounds!". "Zounds!" sort of makes her look really cute. Speaking of "Zounds". There are also puns, A LOT OF puns (Dirty jokes too). That isn't much of a hassle. But it can get really ridiculous sometimes. One of the books even has "Fifty shades of neigh" written in the back. Another thorn to be found is that it sometimes feels repetitive. How? Well there's always breast feeding, accidental nip slips, funny dates, and the occasional softcore hentai.

However eventually that repetition gets more interesting because the author starts adding some new things to the mix. Like a monster brawl, and a newer batch of monster girls. There is also some action like a hostage situation being disarmed by a SWAT team of monster girls. The characters are super cute, and the monster girls each have their own really unique design. The anatomy is superb on each of them. It all works, and there is variety. The only thing that is bothersome is that the main character (Kurusu Kimihito) barely has any facial expressions at all. All he does is look shocked/scared, and that's it. Oh, and the boobs look really wonderful too (Yes, can't forget about that detail... that's really important). The coloring is neatly done. And the backgrounds are structurally sound (It's not important as the big luscious milky honkers, or the round plump booties, but still). This series has almost everything. Sometimes it does have a main story, but usually that story gets canned to the curb.

On A Personal Note: I really enjoyed reading this series, and I will continue to do so. This is one of those rare ecchi treats that actually have more things to show other than cleavage. I did like the ecchi that is has though, and I was pretty depressed when it started to get toned down (Puts away the lotions, and tissues)......but then the ecchi came back again, and I was celebrating (Brings back lotions, and tissues)! Monster Musume also has these really cool bios of all of the girls in the end of each book. That is one of the reasons why I am not going to return these books to the store, I'll keep them in my library for many years to come. At first I was daunted when I started reading this. I mean I saw a centaur girl? And all I thought was "Okay. She looks good. Her boobs are gorgeous..... and huge.......how are the mechanics going to work on banging her though?". But.......then I resolved that issue......eventually, after a few rounds of fa- actually something tells me that this series could turn people into furries. I am not one, of course..........until I see Cheetara from the ThunderCats, the 2011 version that is. I am really glad that there is more comedy ecchi, than serious ecchi out there these days. Because ecchi can't be a serious genre no matter what. I mean when boobs flying for no reason are the main point, then why would I be interested in the lackluster writing, and dialogue? Monster Musume does not have terrible writing, just dumb jokes (Which is a really good thing). And the dialogue is not bad at all. It's solid. Thank goodness.

If you're looking for something different in terms of ecchi. Give this a go. It's quite the ride (Cerea is too).

Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou review
If you are just reading this to learn how much of the manga that was adapted into the anime I can tell you it was the first 6 books (26 chapters) and there are no major changes between the anime and the books. Now onto the review.

Some might see me giving Monster Musume an overall score of 5/10 as meaning that I think it is a bad manga. This is not the case. To me 5/10 means that is was a fine read but not a manga I would read again and I can't see myself recommending it to a friend.

The art is in my opinion the best part of Monster Musume and is responsible for it never becomming a boring read. The bacgrounds never stood out but the characters and their expressions and reactions are well drawn. The girls are espetially beautifully drawn and even though the scenes from time to time becomes very sexual it never becomes vulgar though it does come close a few times. So 8/10

The story (or lack thereof) is my main issue with this manga. For a story to be a story there has to be some form of progression otherwise it is simply a 'setting'. And that is what Monster Musume is, a setting. after the last of the girls have moved in the story ends, anything after that has more or less no lasting influence on the characters or the overall plot of the manga. I like the setting but I would also like a story to come with it. The humor also becomes very repetitive as a result of this. So 2/10

The female main characters of Monster Musume are more rounded persons and less tropes than you see in other ecchi harem mangas. They do however suffer from the lack of story progression which means that there are little to no character growth after the girls introduction arc. If anything the girls become more and more two dimensional as the manga progresses and their most dominant personality trait is the only trait that is shown due to less time dedicated to each character. So 4/10
The male protagonist is a two dimensional character with no defining features. Despite being and adult and having beautiful women throwing themselves at him his main response to the thought of sex is shock and fear. He is the worst part of this manga but I also dislike the 'weak male protagonist' trope. So 1/10

Overall is Monster Musume for you if you don't like to read much and like the setting of horny monster girls living with a man who seams to be afraid of the thought of having sex.

Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou review
I'd like to start out saying "YES, THIS IS A HAREM MANGA." That being said, the harem motif isn' t really the defining factor of this story, but more like an instigator for action (without it, I'd see no reason for all these monster girls to conglomerate together)

However, not everyone in the harem is in love with main guy. Some have a mutual respect, others feelings more akin to sibling-hood. So, it doesn't always become a love brawl (even though there is always a match-up every chapter)

The premise of the story is a bit farfetched, but the execution isn't done half bad. The way in which the author introduces each character almost makes you believe they are all "REAL" species in the amount of attention to finer details to the real life counterpart each species is based off.

But, the downside to having so many characters is that very FEW of them are multifaceted, Most of the characters hold singular personally roles (in spades) and hardly deviate from character. But, being able to see so many of my favorite monster girls as characters makes me realize there has to be shortcomings somewhere.

To me, the manga is HEAVY on teaching a moral lesson (yes, there IS a lesson in this harem madness) in that we should all accept our fellow man ("interspecies"). Because of the preachy nature of said moral, the main guy character can come out a bit one-dimensional in that he accepts ANYTHING to a fault.

I wish that sometimes he would deviate from his "goody-too-shoes" nature and have a darker side that comes to light (but that is probably just me looking for an anti-hero main guy).

Still, the overall tone of the manga never stays in one place for too long, just the right amount of balance between harems, comedy, and moral ethics thrown in to make a ever interesting manga to read. (ALSO SO MUCH FANSERVICE FOR A MONSTER GIRL FANATIC LIKE ME!!!!)

Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou review
I'll start off by saying that I'm not a huge manga person. I'm more of an anime person and just watch the anime then read the manga. However; since this is one of those that don't have an anime and from what I've read thus far. Not only is this an acception to that, but I can also safely say that I'm enjoying this manga thus far.

I've read all 16 chapters of the story thus far and so far have enjoyed the story. So far, the characters that we have are Kurusu; the only human male that this story resembles around and the main protagonist of course. Then we've got Miia who's a Lamia, (half snake, half women). Papi, who's a Harpy; by the way, am I the only one who notices that, that rhymes? Centorea, who's obviously a centaur since it's in her name. Suu, who's a blue slime monster. Lorelei, who's a mermaid, and the new one; Arachnera; who's obviously an arachnid.

Right now; I'm enjoying the story thus far and I will admit. While the story doesn't really have a plot to it since we just keep getting more and more monster girls for this guy and it just keeps building up to more suspense but nothing really comes from it except pain. It just doesn't seems to really be leading anywhere and lord knows of how long it'll last, how many more characters we keep getting, and when it'll eventually end and how it will end. Now; I will say this. Even though it doesn't have a plot to it and it's not really leading anywhere. The story that's been telling us thus far is freaking hillarious, especially; in like the first 10 chapters. When I first started reading this and when we got to the point where Centorea had been introduced. Things not only got crazy but freaking hillarious. I was laughing my ass off so much that I almost died from laughing. It may not have a plot, but really makes up for it with it's hillarious scenes.

The art work is just great. It is a little sad though that only certain parts of it like the introduction of a new volume or at the beginning is in color and the rest is in black and white. Cause if it was all in color, it would probably look even more grander. However; while it is mostly all in black and white, the drawing of the characters, the scenery and everything else really makes up for that fact because the drawing is just great.

The characters are pretty good and are one of the things that makes this manga real freaking hillarious. I mean; you actually do feel sorry for this kid; Kurusu, because he's getting pulled into all these directions. He's getting pumbled to death by these girls and they are actually competeting for him, and that my friends does lead to great comedy and that's what this manga really is, it's mainly comedy while it does have some great romantic scenes in it as well. As of right now; my most favorite character is Arachnera. Yeah, thought I was gonna choose Miia didn't ya? That doesn't mean though that I don't like Miia because I really do as well as the others, especially; Centorea. I do like Miia a lot, especially; in the first several chapters. She's sweet, she's loyal, she's hot as hell, and really knows how to show her vengeful side when she has to. However; the reason why I like Arachnera more is because you do actually get a little bit of a background story with her when she comes in. I also love of how sneaky she is and the fact that she's a spider, really just makes her even more sneaky and would come out of the last place you'd expect to find her. Granted, I'm not a huge fan of spiders, not saying that I'm scared of them or something because I'm not, but there's just something that I really like about her.

As I've said before, while the story is a little lacking and there isn't a plot to the story, it's the characters and the comedy of this manga that keeps it going because it is hillarious and I'm just loving it. It's a lot of fun and you'll just enjoy reading it. It's not really a porno manga since there isn't actually any sex going on but does have some exposure and even that is what makes it hillarious in some points but depends on where it goes. If you wanna know what I'm talking about. Read it until you get to chapter 6 and read that, because that's where it really gets hillarious. This is one of the few that I'm gonna keep reading and am really looking forward to when the next chapter comes out.

Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou review
This manga got me so hooked that I can't stop reading one chapter after the other. Now, those reading my review would probably think that it's because of the "Ecchi" and "Harem" elements highly present in it but putting these aside Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou is really good manga if not one of the best ever.

Certainly while reading the manga you will get a sense of deja vu since the "Harem" part is almost as the same as the others except that our main character isn't a pervert and is pretty much a good person at heart who wouldn't hesitate to put his life at stake to protect others. The female characters however are pretty straight forward with it comes to sex and other explicit stuffs. All of them try their best to compete against each other as rivals in order to gain the affection of our male protagonist.

However, what I personally found really refreshing is that the females in the story are non-human species who are mainly based on creatures of various mythologies. Somehow it changes the "Harem" atmosphere a little bit and showing off its infamous side about compassion and equal treatment. Yet they aren't humans, the female characters are really well designed and each of them have a special trait that makes them unique. Some are genuinely cute, some are beautiful and some are... well... "original". They all have there own uniqueness that really makes them stand out and will surely give you a spoil of choice to determine which one is actually the better than the other to be your favourite character.

The plot of the manga isn't complicated at all featuring lots of comedy and gags which are genuinely funny. There are also a lot of cute and awkward moments. Well pretty much what you'd expect from the usual Harem Manga but do trust me that when you'll read it you won't find the stop button.

Obviously you'll find adequate amount of nude scenes with lots of "boobies" which are often accompanied by explicit languages which makes them intense and arousing. However, the mangaka has effectively made use of "nudity" when deemed necessary and not entirely for fan servicing.

"Harem" and "Ecchi" or not, Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou is a really refreshing and interesting manga which really deserves the attention of many. As previously mentioned it is not the very best but it's certainly a very good one with a lot of elements effectively used as the story proceeds.

I would really love to see an anime adaptation of the manga soon! :)

Cheers... Keep calm and give Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou a try! ;)

Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou review
What does a harem tend to be filled with? Girls, girls, girls, and the guy surrounded by them, but what can we do to mix it up in a market filled with plenty of generic harems and bland characters? I present to you, a harem filled with not just any girls, but monster girls.

Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou is an ecchi harem manga that has everything you'd expect. Comedy, Boobs, accidental sexual encounters and of course, plenty of girls in love with our MC. The fantastic part about Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou however, is the twist on not only the girls being Monster girls, but the characters themselves(personalities), the events that take place and the way we see the rest of the world looks at them. To say the least, I began reading this not expecting much, but came out loving it more then I should and I really don't know why.

Story:

Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou actually has an interesting set up for its story then most harem manga I've read or heard of. Japan has just started to slowly integrate their society with other species(Monster girls) and it's the job of the government and hosts whom house and take care of these sub-species to help them mix in. Our lucky MC, has become a host against his will and so the trials of him and the girls he takes care of begin, with of course some good comedic and sexy twists here and there as well. What caught my eye, as perhaps others as well, is the twist on the girls. Lamia, centaurs, harpies, we see it all and while it focuses on them and the interactions with the MC, it also has a strong focus on them and society, for while some may be accepting of these girls, other humans may see them as freaks, or even the other way around. The manga does a fantastic job showing itself as a comedic ecchi harem, but displaying some serious undertones of how society responds to something different from what it is used to.

Art:

The art is well done and clean, it's easy on the eyes and so are the ecchi scenes you will be encountering.(If you know what I mean)

Character:

So this one is a big one when it comes to harems, considering we'll be focused on the characters the whole way through. While I won't go as far as saying they're completely unoriginal, the characters do have very similar personalities to other characters you will or have encountered in other harem manga. Now before you blow up on me, that being said, the characters have a nice twist to each of them that make them their own, giving you a satisfying feeling of originality in each character. The characters themselves can be anywhere from being the airhead, to aggressive to one another just for the MC's attention, but the best part of these girls are the little things here and there that make them hilarious, but original. One whom loves BDSM, another whom could be said to love dramatic loves(Even imagining NTR). Each character has their own unique taste that you can't but help enjoy. Oh, and did I forget to mention they are all part animals? Now, we just talked about the girls, but as for the MC, it's the same deal. While I think most will be proud our MC isn't a complete airhead or wimp, he also(forgive my language) gets shit done.

Enjoyment:

There's no complicated plot, or anything, it's all simple to its core. Comedy that can make you laugh, tasteful ecchi and can be real light-hearted as well. It's a manga that you can just sit back, relax and enjoy.(Which I have on multiple occasions)

Overall:
Maybe I'm crazy for giving it a 9, but like I said, I enjoyed this manga far more then I should have and I just don't know why.
Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou is what I like to think, a gem in its genre. It takes a lot of the things that have been overused in a lot of harems and makes it its own, while not perfect, making it very enjoyable. Even if ecchi isn't your thing I'll recommend this, as it's done in good taste and moderation.
So if you're looking for a nice fresh comedic harem manga, stop searching because Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou is what you've been looking for.

(Review subject to change once the manga has been completed)

Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou review
I decided to read it since it was quite popular many chapters and few years ago i decided to mark it "read later". I wasn't excited starting it and well midway through it i was disappointed.

Story 6/10

Well romcom-harem-ecchi is well they are all almost the same i was in love in those kinds of genres when I was a teenager it's was my first serious stepping stone un to world of anime/manga but growth and simply overuse of the same genre made me limp for those genres.
This series bring about fantasy element with ecchi, where harem members are all monster girls. There are smooth elements and I can acknowledge why would harem members would be interested in our Main lead but the world mechanic is flawed.
World is like a harpy in the series, 3 steps and author forgets the rules he placed un to this world, i know it's a comedy and I even had few giggles there and there but any literature has some set rules i think, author is a god he creates the rules but this time we have a god that forgets or simply shrugs about inconsistency that we may see. Why is this a problem well it makes this story artificial through and through it shows us that in order to make genre elements to appear author needs to disregard what he placed before in order to create some new chapters.
If we talk about seriousness there is absolute zero, when somebody speaks about laws I consider it being serious well laws(like literally country laws) in here are like a promise between two drunken people (it simply cannot be taken serious but sometimes other party may pummel you for forgetting them).
Story progression wise, well we had some but around chapter 40 style changed to 4-koma like with random adventures or should i say FILLERS.
All in all story element became weaker as the story progressed now i consider it just a big joke, comedy wise there are few references to pop culture in life and in manga alike (also some hentai references) some jokes are plainly stupid BUT they are not all cliche like, some real thought has been put in here to make a reader laugh some authors simply copy paste cliche from older mangas that were popular once.

Art 8/10
Characters are quite detailed and appealing(if you catch the drift), facial expressions are not serious and actually make up a good gag element to them (though there mangas that do this better), body proportions are amazing having creative power to make up a lot fantasy creatures is a pro in my opinion and they are always detailed, background is also one of good things I didn't notice author slacking off on this part). Panel placement was good, didn't have any confusion reading this as for speech bubbles they were ok (if i remember correctly i had a few instances when i was puzzled who was speaking).

Also be warned many borderline H-scenes.

Characters 6/10

There many supports and background characters all are to a degree with their personality but what was lacking is diversity of the mind at least for main cast. Background characters have race based thinking pattern mostly while only main leads are different to a degree. So biggest problem is one dimensional cast.
Male-Lead is a serious, hard working fellow presumably in his early 20, working part-time. If we are thinking about ideal human (that stands against discrimination) he would be one, he doesn't give a cows ass about female having snake tail, horse ass or spider legs (he is a leg guy btw). Would i call him perverted well no considering that situations happen around him he doesn't take initiative he mostly complies with what situations are thrown at him. But other than all that he seems a little bit on a passive side without any objection (almost) agrees to all absurdity that keeps happening.
As for harem members they are unique (personality wise) if you put other race members they are mostly monolithically the same. The problem arises when you expect them to change, to have a sort of inner epiphany to grow as persons well they won't. There is nothing to tell you much about others they are quirky, absurd and etc. Nothing unique about them and typing about all harem members is tiring and likely a major spoiler since their personality or relationship with ML don't change or better yet they become colder and more distant (simply because author decide to empathize more on side story's and filler episodes.

Enjoyment 7/10

I had my fill of harem-comedy-ecchi so I mostly was unfazed when reading this, though i did enjoy it and didn't think that dropping it would be more beneficial to me so all in all a +. I would have to admit there were moments i was aroused so reading this in a public place would be unwise though if you are adamant about being totally unfazed by H-scenes or simple disinterest in drawn H-scenes still not advisable because people who would take a glimpse at the art would think you are reading porn (quite many fan-service here so chances that passerby glimpses you reading drawn porn is extremely high).

Overall 7/10

I had my fill of enjoyment i would rate it as a good time waster. You will not find anything unique (beside the fantasy setting with monster girls) here, characters are all a standard troupe you would expect in harem-ecchi-romcom. Story degrades as chapters move along characters are not moving forward you simply meet new ones, art is interesting and fun at times, borderline H-scenes were quite arousing.

------Spoiler Alert-------------

Series start with ML waking to 1st harem member embracing him (Lamia) with her tail some ecchi here and there but main point is that there is that government program where humans and monsters have cultural exchange program where monsters live in humans host family house. So our ML by accident became a host (gov.mistake) and as it happens his parents were abroad so he accepts it somehow.
Human cannot harm monster and vice versa (sex is also prohibited) but as the story progresses further on above stated prohibitions are becoming less and less important though at first they were a major pillar that created this series, author simply shifted our attention to other elements (He probably midway through the series understood that he made a stupid rule in this world so he decided to sweep it under the rug). Next we have a NEW law monster and humans can marry but to only once monster i guess so we have an Arc about this but then suddenly everyone forgets about it or simply doesn't pay any mind to that anymore (like there was a reason from harem members since they almost killed ML but ML himself forgot about it, reference to farm work 2nd when he worked on a major farm where he thought he may stay forever on this farm forgetting any affection towards his harem or marriage altogether).
So like i said this manga started with a story but somewhere along the way author changed course to 4-koma like endless manga without any substance, If i'm not mistaken it happened right when the ark with 3 mysterious and dangerous monster girls started. This ark in particular shows a lot of inconsistent story elements. It would seem this ark was a moment that author realized that his manga should either end soon or he has to change course because he placed too many restrictions to his story already.

Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou review
Monster Girls is a giant cocktease, in almost all senses but literal.

Oh, there's plenty of tits and panty shots. I honestly can't tell if it's supposed to be ecchi or hentai, and frankly I don't really care to figure out. The art definitely compliments this, tits, panties, and asses are all drawn expertly and in glorious detail. You'd expert nothing less from a kinda-pornographic kinda-not manga, and as time goes on they get a cast of monsters so big one of them is sure to fill under one of your sick fetishes. Unless you're into dudes and only dudes. In which case run, run as far as you can from this thing.

My biggest problem with Monster Girl is that it could be so much more. It's obvious that the author put a lot of thought into this world, and if you can get past the porn it's actually pretty interesting. There are laws about "extraspecies" that actually make sense, and the monster girls' monster-ness are by no means aesthetic. The harpy doesn't have periods, she lays eggs, the centaur can't eat meat, the lamia sheds her skin, so on and so forth. The author did his or her research, and I'm honestly pretty impressed.

The characters, too, have potential. They're all interesting and pretty fun, and we get hints of their backstories, but we never get much time to really learn about everyone. Rather, We just pile on more and more monster girls. Although to be fair we seem to have slowed down by the Dulahan, and most new monsters come and go, so maybe we'll start to explore more about these characters soon.

The plot is the worst cocktease of them all. So many times we're presented with the possibility of something changing, of someone dying or MC finally deciding on a girl (it's the lamia you idiot, go with the lamia) to marry, but they never go anywhere. The only thing that ever changes is that we get MORE MONSTER GIRLS. And it's not like they never address the issue, no. Not once but twice does Ms. Plot Catalyst tell our MC that HE HAS TO CHOOSE A GIRL TO MARRY NOW. But no, the story must go on, and he has to keep his harem. No one can leave the harem and it never ends. Come to think of it, it sounds like some kind of terrible depressing purgatory. You must pine over this man and get an ever-increasing amount of love rivals for all eternity! NOOOOO!

In conclusion, Monster Girl is a story with quite a lot of potential that will go forever unrealized, and it's a tragedy. Maybe if the great gods of anime past decide to pull a twist and make an interesting and intelligent story rather than sell more half-clothed figurines and dakimakura the anime will split off from the manga and just develop maybe the three first girls, but that's about as likely as Naruto ending.

Wait, what? There's hope!

Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou review
How would you react, if the first thing 'you' woke up to was a Lamia (half human, with half snake sub species)? Or a household of monster girls that consisted of a Harpy, Centaur and lord knows what else. Oh, one more thing before I forget, you even have to pick one of them for marriage, and they are in to that ecchi business as well. *wonders how they would have sex and where you would have to put the thing*

Now before I get a little grossed out (no offense), this story is all about a boy who has all of these subspecies all in his home. First, starting off with Miia, a sweet, naive and a carefree individual who has totally fallen for our lucky male protagonist by the name of Kimihito Kurusu. Oh, and did I mention the first thing is that, they are both in bed together and Miia is doing ecchi things with those lovely big oppai's that, let's be honest, arouses your senses a little. Although by doing so, our now not so fortunate male protagonist nearly dies from suffocation due to the immense strength she has. Unfortunately though, their lives living alone together shortly get interrupted, and afterwards many other subspecies begin to join the fray. Thus, begins a harem of Monster Girls after his love and affection, which is quite sweet, but they definitely know how to go about it with their bodies. Especially Miia and Rachnera, the way Miia uses her body and seduces the male protagonist while turning on your manly lower half is quite amazing with those big oppai’s, lovely body, that lovely long snake tail and most cute of all, her flushed red face and her adorable behaviour. As for Rachnera, it’s the way she uses are seductive voice and speech that can just reel you in, and the thought of just been suddenly caught in her web, just makes you wonder if you was the catch of the day, also the way she pins you down, and whispers certain things in your ear can certainly get you going. It makes you forget the fact they’re even sub-species. Is there something wrong with me if I say something like that?

Story (7/10) – It’s pretty good, despite the fact it has no real direction, it's kind of like any other real ecchi with no real plot, which is a shame. What this manga sets out to be, is to be something that someone could read for more fun fun times and have something nice to read. There is no real deep plot, but as you get further through the manga you do end up having a warm feeling towards the characters due to their characteristics, but they have no real proper connection to the male main character in anyway, apart from Miia, although they do begin to create some connection with him as the chapters go on, and between each other as well, which really makes your heart feel nice a warm inside because you can definitely see the group acts as a whole.

Now the fact they are monster girls and that, they still don’t have any past that I know of yet, just straight up romance, harem and ecchi goodness, nothing more and nothing less, it does amazing for what it's meant to do; although, the fact that they are monsters, I thought it could have been a little deeper than what it was. Monsters just suddenly being accepted in to the world, and yet everyone just sits there and accepts it, even though they announced this out of nowhere just doesn’t seem logical. There are a few who don't, but they still make no impact on the story, they were just there to help the romance, or to shorten the relationship between the monster girls and the male protagonist. I find that wrong in my eyes, I wish it was a little more controversial and all sorts of problems arises, but nothing of a sort happens which left you thinking if there was more to be desired, which there was, I guess, that's not what it sets out to be, but the fact it was there, this manga could have certainly been better.

When they introduce the new character Ranchera (a half spider), it was the first time to really see something deep, as I did complain the fact that everything can’t be as easy going as how other species are having it, and when she was introduced it was something I really liked and looked forward to. I will leave treading in on her territory for a bit, because I don’t want to be caught by a web full of hate, due to the fact that I might ruin the only really part of the manga that tells a story that not all species have it easy going, although don’t worry, you will still get outrageously funny and bonerific scenes. Also due to her character, others were brought closer together, and really added a sense of depth to everything and their lives, I honestly feel, thanks to her this manga is just that little more amazing, and also has filled in a little bit of that gap that this manga was missing. This manga definitely now feels more of a whole, than just straight-up ecchiness and funny times.

Romance is lovely, the guy isn't a dick, which suits me fine, I actually found the guy quite funny and understanding. Talking about funny, this manga will make you laugh your ass off when you read the first chapters, but as you continue on for a bit it dies down, then when you get to around chapter 16 then things start to pick up again as they introduce a new character, which I must say definitely added to everything, and definitely improved it in some ways as well. The manga is amazing experience to read, and also so very enjoyable.

Now for the bad areas, apart from what the author could have done with the story, there is more, the romance literally and I mean, literally goes nowhere for 17 whole chapters (that's as far as it goes so far, there's 17/19), you don't see no progression, you don't see no indication that the male is falling for any particular girl, and they still seem to be introducing more characters which makes me think that this manga will finish all too quick and awkwardly. Now some of you may like the fact that you still don't see any signs, but at least some hints or something or another would be nice, I mean animes with no romance in, and we still at least have an idea if the character likes a certain someone, plus some parts of the story were a bit out of nowhere and left you thinking, “where the hell did this author come up with this idea?” kind of thought, but in the end you don't care, because the scenario was awesome, funny, and holy shit sexy oppai's all over the place! So I will overlook that, yeah got a problem?

Another thing I didn’t like is the new chapter (17). Now, I don’t mean as in it was a terrible chapter or anything, not by any means, far from it in fact, but the thing is this manga seems to be ending soon and we should be seeing signs of the manga entering its final stages and begin to enter into its conclusion, but instead we get a fan-service chapter of swimsuits, sexy outfits and a swimming contest which turned out to be an absolutely pointless chapter. They have a race which had no real meaning to it, and this entire chapter is just focused on fan-service. Literally, even when it ends, nothing happens, it was all just so pointless in the end, the chapter did nothing to move the manga forward, it didn’t help anything progress, apart from the fact he didn’t know they could swim so well, but that doesn’t do anything, and the fact we are quite the ways through this manga, I honestly feel this should have been done a lot sooner, if even done at all. It was just a fan-service chapter that should have just been put on the side, because this late in the game, this chapter certainly didn’t help improve the series, to be honest with the content that has already been released, it was a let-down.

Honestly, and I hate to say this, but I really do think this series will end weirdly. By what I see there is still only just 2 chapters to go, and I still see nothing of a sort happening, and I don’t want this manga to be rushed, or have an awkward ending.

Art (8/10) - The art was very good, the girls art was very arousing, I mean come on you'll all end up with a boner weather you like monster girls or not, I'm not fond of them but even I got a little aroused. *blushes* You had sexy, cute Harpy for the loliness, Lamia that is just the best character, love her character, adorable sexy and lord knows what else. And there were many more that could tickle your tastes.

Backgrounds weren't so detailed, but I guess they wanted you to be more focused on what's going on, I mean why would you be focusing on the backgrounds when Lamia's getting help shedding her skin and given off arousing noises, there must of been something wrong with you if you did that, are you mad?! The characters were sweet and lovely. No depth, but I'm thinking that this manga wasn't aiming for depth.

Characters (8/10) - There is no background on the characters (expect one) for you to fall in love with more, or at least care for them at least. They're monsters for crying out loud, they must have some kind of bad or tragic background. But now thanks to Ranchera, she added a certain depth to all the characters around her, and she definitely brought something new. Still, I’m talking about each character individually, not just one character, but I guess, one person makes all the difference, and Ranchera did just that.

The characters were all fun and awesome, clueless (which suits them funny enough) and funny, but that's all your getting I'm afraid, if you're looking for anything more I suggest you just look away now before you waste your time, or if you're still having thoughts on reading this, but what is shown to us, the readers, is nice! It's relaxing, they're all funny and they never seem to fail to impress you. The male, which I'm proud to say is, not a douche but a totally awesome character, who when sees shit, takes action when things go too far.

The newly introduced characters are not bad either, matter of fact they’re awesome, we have Rachnera, who is just funny and seductive as ever, and she really helps to start scenarios off, and there was one moment of really nice bonding between Rachnera and Centorea, which really added depth to their characters, and thanks to Rachnera, I think this manga has a new light. As for the new mermaid, well she is a weird one I must say, she seemed to have something up a sleeve, but in the end she is in to this really tragic love stories and all that, which is actually quite amusing, and funny at times, but her character tends to die down, and ends up being more of a back end character once her attention is over.

I think the characters for this manga thus far are all well respected in some aspects, and thanks to Rachnera and maybe even Meroune (Mermaid), that you might start to have a connection to some of the characters now as well, as before it was more, I like this character because of this, this and this. Now, you like the character, because her feelings or connection they have, and thanks to Rachnera, it’s the first real character which hasn’t had it all so lovely and charming which was nice. So, really all the characters are all very memorable, and each one for different reasons.

By the way, I'm wondering who's supporting him. All of the food he has to get for the people staying at his house respectively makes you wonder, is the government helping him? If that's the case then they better get ready for another big recession.

Enjoyment (9/10) - You will enjoy yourself so much! It's a blast to read! You will laugh in soooo many scenes and finding yourself turning more and more pages over, and by the time the day is out you probably be finished and still be unsatisfied, and be looking for more because you'll be wanting to blow off some steam cause of Miia's sexy figure.

You will love everything about this manga, if you are just looking for a good time and 'if' that's the case then you came to the right manga my friend! I guess there is more to say, but just go read it yourselves, it really is fun and I don't want to spoil that experience.

Overall (8/10) - Very Good. I think this time that's a perfect description for this manga thus far. There are still chapters waiting to be translated and published but nonetheless what I have read so far, I totally recommend it to anyone who just wants to have fun reading and wants to get away from the serious stuff and have a laugh, and experience a manga that is refreshing and in my eyes original, although similar to To Love-Ru in this sense, but Lala doesn't have any half in her, just human with immense strength.

Now I would normally say, "stay away from this if you’re a person who hates monster girls that show off stuff and their bodies and want an intimate relationship with a guy and the guy seems to be aroused off what the girls do and even maybe fancies one of them", but in this case no, I would still recommend it to you to at least still have a go at reading the manga. Trust me! You will really just end up forgetting that they're not all human and to be honest, in the end, you don't even care. I'm not in to all that monster stuff either, I think it gives me the creeps but this manga gave me different perspective on such a monster themed show. Although it won't be suddenly, let's go over to the hentai section to look up tentacle rape, no! I wouldn't go that far, but definitely gives you a surprise just how fun this manga can be. I really do wish in the future that this gets animated but I doubt it.

IN THIS MANGA MIIA IS BEST GIRL, AND I WOULDN'T MIND HER WAKING UP IN MY BED IN THE MORNING, ALTHOUGH I WOULD PROBABLY BE DEAD BY THE TIME I EXPERIENCE ANYTHING ACTUALLY GOOD AND WORTH REMEMBERING.
