Hina has just moved back to her old hometown, and transfers to the local school, North High. Little does she know about the rivalry between the gangs of North High and its opponent South High (the high school which her childhood friend, Kanata, attends). During her first week there, she is captured by gang leader Shuugo and finds out about the "Princess Game," in which she will play a key role.

Dakara Ore ni Shina yo review
Story:
It moved way too fast for anything to really get developed, like the romance or characters etc etc. It was also just a bunch of cliche things rolled into a book. I mean, there's a typical high school girl who is super dense and has no common sense when falling in love, the super bad play boy who is a delinquent and is interested in the girl, the long-time-no-see childhood buddy that has feelings for the main character who is also a delinquent etc etc. There's also some sexually themed chapters in this series, although they haven't really shown anything in the seven chapters that I read, which is why I would not even recommend starting to read this series in the first place. Art: The art is okay. Like any typical shoujo manga, it casts two hot boys and one pretty girl I guess. Character: There is a serious need of character development in here. As I said, all these characters are typical typical in a shoujo manga, and it's even worse that the whole story is predictable. It takes away from the readers thrill. The characters are really hard to connect to. They have no pasts, the have no distinct uniqueness to them and they were (to me) unloveable. The only thing that I felt while reading this manga is that Kanata is one poor kid. Enjoyment: I think you can tell by reading the rest of this how I fell about this manga. Overall: This manga was not worth my time. It left me with a bad taste in my mouth after reading it and it left me with a bad mood. I do warn people away with this review, but I don't discourage you to see if I know what I'm talking about. I do think that the author was trying to make this manga exciting and dramatic but she went overboard and made something that I would like to not look at again. I am sorry to the fans if I sound critical about this manga, but keep in mind that this is just one amateur reviewer out of a billion amateurs' opinion. |
Dakara Ore ni Shina yo review
TL;DR: This manga is pure bullshiz.
*Warning; Might contain minor spoilers.* While I truly enjoy shoujo manga, I also truly despise them. First things first, STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHIZ. The story was all good from the very first pages (not chapters but PAGES). The heroine transferring to another school and her best childhood friend whom she got to meet again after 5 years or so. It was all good until she said "I will definitely have a boyfriend in my new school." That's not how she exactly said it, but the fact that she'll hunt a boyfriend in her new school sounds friggin' stupid and nonsense. I mean... does she not plan to study at all or something? Also, the romance here is definitely not gonna deserve any audience. I'm so tired of this love triangle of a childhood friend who already likes the heroine since before her mother even give birth to her or whatnot and the heroine who falls in love with a literal fckboi. Aside from being over-cliche and far fetched, this manga is way more than what I can call atrocious. Just by reading the first chapter, you could already guess the rest of the story. It's definitely wildly unreasonable and ridiculous in so many levels. The art is the only decent in this manga. The characters are truly portrayed on how they should look. From sassy to trashy. The characters are all utterly absurd. The heroine is the most hateful among all the characters. She has no common sense and you could actually find all the signs that she's a scatterbrained. Her childhood friend is also stupid it's getting actually hilarious. Also the other bad boy delinquent who loves to sweet talk to catch b*ches. Every typical shoujo manga will never miss adding playboys, playboy delinquents, rich playboys and other sort of playboys on the line. Enjoyment... I didn't actually enjoy it, seriously. You could imagine me glaring at my computer screen while enduring to finish at least the first chapter just by scrolling and not reading it at all. Lastly, I wouldn't rate it at all, but I really need to voice out my opinion. I won't say that someone should read this manga so that I could prove myself right. NO, MATE. Don't read it all. Well, if you really want, good luck. Thanks for reading my review! |
