Menga is simply known as the vice rep and is bullied. Hanako has moved to Korea but was robbed the first day and has nothing. Na Hong Soo is known as a troublemaker and is in constant trouble. And Eechan is the student body president, very popular and known as Bacchus. It seems they have nothing in common but this will change soon.

I was reluctant to read this manhwa in the beginning but after a few pages i just couldn't stop reading.

Story: 10/10
The story is about six people with their fates interwoven. The beginning starts off as a typical shoujo plotline would but evolves into something new and original. While fairly predictable at points, it was very beautifully crafted.

Art: 10/10
The art was nice but nothing outstanding. While there wasn't anything particularly extraordinary about it, i liked the way the expressions were drawn because they all fit the personalities of their characters. Some characters ended up looking alike but their expressions distinguished them from one another. When one character was kind, their expression would be gentle. if another was arrogant, their face would show them as haughty and condescending. Overall, while the style of the art was not noteworthy, the mangaka got her message across fittingly.

character: 9/10
I ended up loving each of the characters except one which is why the score is a 9/10 although that probably isn't good justification. In the tangled web of love that this story weaves, each character ended up being completely different from one another which was great. Each had a strong personality and are linked by the fact that they dont quite fit into their society as they are. This is the factor that ties all of these misfits together. Furthermore, not one character was completely onesided but all had depth and a story behind them. As the plot progressed, each evolved and changed upon meeting new people. they work towards their goals and discover what they want in life which is the best part about the characters because they are realistic and their experiences are tangible.

enjoyment: 10/10
On this surface this wasn't a particularly outstanding or memorable story but reading it made me feel like I was a part of each character's life, not just like an outsider reading a story far from my own reality. Each character was well done and the story is definitely a must read.

“I didn't want to wake up. When I was asleep, everything was white as if my mind was blank. Reality has too many colors...”
- Na Hong Soo

H2O at a glance has characteristics of a typical shoujo high school romance manhwa or manga for that matter but what makes it stand out is the fact that it deals with the lives of six different people who although in the beginning don’t seem to have anything to do with each other but their paths cross soon enough.

Yoon “Menga” Myunga is an aloof and timid girl whose only identity at school seems to be that of a vice representative and becomes an easy victim of bullying because of her ‘goody two shoes’ personality; Moriyama “Hana” Hanako was a former model in Japan who ‘runs away’ to Korea and bears a dark secret; Eechan, popularly nicknamed Bacchus, is the friendly and good looking student body president on whom Myunga has a crush; Na Hong Soo is an aspiring gamer who falls for Hanako; Choi Taek Gang is a violent delinquent who attends school only once in a while and is feared by everyone; and Kim Yeo Won is the pretty school nurse who is in her mid twenties and is labelled ‘immature’ due to her childish behaviour and extreme interest in gaming.
This manhwa for one makes the readers wonder who the actual protagonist is for which there is no definite answer. While it may seem that that Yoon Myunga is the protagonist considering the (silly) fact that the manhwa begins with her and ends with her, this is still not true as the other characters too have a fair share of their role. And this is what I liked about H2O. It was refreshing to witness three relationships developing consequently instead of focusing on only one relationship with the clichéd obstacles in the form of love triangles and love rivals thrown in which majority of the shoujo manga out there deal with. That said, we can’t deny the existence of a love triangle in H2O. Scratch that! It has a love square actually. Luckily it doesn’t get much infuriating or draggy for me to punch my computer screen.

As far as the story goes, I won’t say it’s brilliant but it’s definitely something you’ll like after you read the first few chapters (unless you don’t have a grudge against the high school romance genre). Although a bit clichéd and predictable at parts, it was still likeable for me. On the other hand, there are a few plot holes that were a turn off. The author, I felt, didn’t want to waste time on those little details resulting in their deliberate omission which made me instantly spit out a ‘huh?’ Another turn off—and a big one at that—is the ending. Hell yeah, the ending! It was abrupt, rushed and didn’t have much of an impression as the beginning and the climax had. There were a lot of unanswered questions and overall it was not satisfactory, for me at least. It could have taken another two or three chapters for a proper pack up but I guess, the author didn’t want to spend any more time on it and hence the rushed ending. If the ending was at least a bit better if not the best, I’d have increased the overall rating by one point.

The characters of H2O are more or less a typical bunch. However, I couldn’t help but like them. Kim Yeo Won was annoying at times and probably most of you who have read the manhwa will agree with me on this. While her childishness was amusing in the beginning but the same turned into an annoyance when she began meddling into things. Keeping Yeo Won aside, I loved Taek Gang (Thugs, FTW xD)! Also, I wish the author had shown more of Hanako and Hong Soo. I felt that it was Yoon Myunga who was under the spotlight most of the time which once again drags me back to the doubt of whether or not she is the intended protagonist of H2O but whatever! Speaking of Eechan, I didn’t like his character much. I didn’t feel any sympathy for him like I did for the other characters. His character seemed to be somewhat bland and it seemed as if his only purpose of existence was to fill the spot of the ‘model student’ which every manhwa/manga with the high school theme has…well, majority of them.

The art is pretty good. It suits the manhwa and it’s neat without too many panels crammed into one page. The characters look more or less the same. Their hairstyles are what differentiate them from one another. The expressions, on the other hand, are pretty well drawn in my opinion which many manhwa out there lack. And oh, I love the covers of the volumes!

Now that I’m concluding this review, I’m not sure whether I should be recommending H2O to you. All I will say is, this manhwa is refreshing to read. So, if you’re tired of overly dramatic romances and looking for something light hearted, you may grab this one but don’t expect anything ground-breaking out of it.

Feel free to read this review. this is my personal opinion about H2O and don't be scared of getting spoiler because i will write "SPOILER" if there is a spoiler. so here we go

Story (9/10)
Tbh, at first, i expect more from this manhwa since other reviews give it a 9 or 8 and this manga also looks interesting in the cover. But, some of the plot doesn't go the way i wanted it to be and that's kinda left a hole in my heart (i mean it makes me feel like there is something kinda wrong). The story is great though. U don't find this kind of story often since it tells us about perspective in 6 different people, although not all people got an equal part. Not only that, but u can read several first chapter and u will know that this is not an ordinary shoujo thing, this is different. But, the problem for me maybe because the main character (in this case, i mean the person who got the most story) is not the girl i expected it to be at first (to make it easier lets call her hanako). And the funny thing is the girl that i think will be the MC in this manhwa is the one of the character with the least story. It kinda dissapoint me. Also, tbh, i hope there is a love triangle between hanako and other guys, but it is once again not as i expected and kinda dissapoint me. But, later on i can accept these changes and move on to the story. Believe me guys, when u read it u will have the same expectation as i do at first.

Art (5/10)
For the art, i don't think it is really impressive. The hair is not drawn really well and it is the worst part. i still think it is acceptable, but art maybe is the weakest part about this manhwa.

Character (8/10)
The character is attractive and funny for me. Every single one of them is good in their own way. I think my favorite one was the delinquent guys cuz he is so funny and it just fun seeing him trying hard for his loved one. Maybe the least impressive one is the MC herself, i still like her though compared to many other MC in shoujo manga who is so fucking annoying. It just that she maybe not as appealing as other character. But, she did make a good combination when she is with the delinquent guy.

Enjoyment (8/10)
I quite enjoy reading it and when i read this i just wanna finished it so badly so that it won't affect my study. The reason why i give it an 8 is because there is something that doesn't go the way i want it to be and also the ending is not really the best one. I think 43 chapter is just too short, (SPOILER) There are several parts i wanna see more, like i want to see more of hanako and hong soo, they are so cute together. Also, the nurse and eechan is my favorite couple of this manga, they are so funny and compatible, it is a shame that their love story doesn't have an extra chapter.

Overall (7/10)
Overall, i like this manhwa. Not, the best manhwa i've ever read (well, u can't expect this to beat the amazing "goong"), but i still think it is a good manhwa with serious problem and good drama.
