MCW is a slow burn. Just finished v3 ch12 and just now the underlying mystery (origin) of the story and world are unfolding for me. New characters are being introduced and the world is opening up. The MC is not too naive or useless, therefore not too annoying. We learn about MCW as the MC does. The story pacing is a good mix of action and mystery within a strange and unique world. The best thing about this manga is the characters. From small parts to the MC(s) every character is unique and treated respectfully. Lots of eye candy in each panel.

I don't want to spoil the story by discussing plot, but what i can say is that as a reader I am thoroughly intrigued and left wanting more. Certainly many of the common anime/manga tropes are present, but everything is tight and packaged/drawn well.

Story: Male and female lifeforms fighting for survival, fighting each other. Living in a bleak dystopian future, how did they get there, why are they like that? What are their origins? Characters are developing more personality as chapters are consumed...just wish there was more available to binge read.
I hope that Seishi has the entire story line developed and story-boarded as good starts don't always make for good ending in manga.

Art: Seishi Kishimoto is the younger twin brother of Masashi Kishimoto (creator of NARUTO) and has a very similar drawing style. Clean crisp lines with awesome camera perspectives gives action and emotional sequences impact without being too cartoony. Not a lot of wasted panels here, however IMHO some scenes can stand to be edited down and refined for story progression. Could just be me though.

Character: As it is now, I give character(s) an 8, but want to give a 9...will have to see how everything progress' as MCW is just getting started. A Main protagonist hasn't fully developed yet either, world is a little too safe so far and I would like to see how the characters handle more desperate circumstances. Bad guy(s) are definitely forming, but no eminent threat on the MC(s) yet.

Enjoyment: MCW is a solid story, not too much fluff and cant wait till there's more to read.

Overall: Read it. Enjoy.
