Obito no Hime to Kubinashi Kishi review

::Story::
This is another princess story with a huge focus on political power and assassination attempts, but the way it's carried out comes off boring and confusing. Many loose ends are left even in the conclusion. For example, the princess's magical voice is never developed upon. She has the one power that stops even a king's greed, yet she never exercised it. I think that's an unfortunate waste of potential!

::ART::
The artwork is this manga's strong point, and it honestly made me read to the end despite boredom. I will say I think the distance between noses and eyes should have been a bit longer. To my eye, they looked too squished together. Besides Charlotte's arranged suitor, all of the men's facial structure were copies of Albert (Headless Knight).

::CHARACTERS::
No favorites for me in Obito no Hime to Kubinashi Kishi.

Princess Charlotte is a bookworm, which is always a nice character trait. She fumbles through learning mountains of financial books to help her brother and kingdom. Charlotte may have had more time to shine in a longer story.

Princess's bro had those subtle incest vibes, but he was an okay guy. He's the only one willing to (verbally) challenge bloodthirsty killer, Albert too.

Headless Knight dressed cool but was bland.

::ROMANCE::
Nonexistent until the very last page of the last chapter. No love confessions either, because Albert ain't that kind of guy.

::OVERALL::
Since the theme of Obito no Hime to Kubinashi Kishi is serious and short it leaves no way for cliches, but it doesn't leave any room for excitement either. Also, I had never been so tired of watching manga characters drink tea ever.
